I guess I'll be the 1st to say YES!
I believe in A-Rod & Jeter. They luv the game and just happen to be getting paid A LOT to play it. Who cares. It's only money.
Sure hope the rest of them heal soon, though. We sure need them if they're gonna win the WorldSeries! Go Yankees!

Yes, the Yankees will win the World Series this year! The only thing they need to do in order to make it to the World Series in October is to get better pitching and get rid of some of the bad pitchers such as Carl Pavano who gets injured a lot and hasn't played since, like, last May. And I know that they took Shawn Chacon out of their rotation and I'm hoping they will designate him for assignment and get a better pitcher. I think the Yankees have a good chance this year because they have a lot of good players such as: Derek Jeter--who has been getting good hits, A-Rod--who will eventually get out of his slump, Jason Giambi--who hits home runs practucally every time he gets up to bat, Melky Cabrera--who has been outstanding for a young player, Andy Phillips--who can hit well and play 1st well, Mike Mussina, Chen Ming Wang, Mariano Rivera who have been great. And their bullpen has been OK. But, I think Randy Johnson and Jaret Wright have been getting better after an awful start to the season, then the Yankees have Johnny Damon and Robinson Cano, who will get back soon from being injured. The Yanks also have speed such as Johnny Damon, Bubba Crosby and Kevin Thompson. Hopefully, Sheffield and Matsui will come back in late August or early September from being injured. GO YANKEES!! Also, the Yankees are NOT evil and do NOT suck. Red Sox ARE the evil ones and they suck!

I doubt it. They aren't looking like the best team right now, but then again, it's still before the All Star break. They still have hope - I mean, look at the 2005 Astros season. We made it to the World Series after a not-so-great start. The Yankees are far from being that bad. They have a chance, but a very outside chance.

No, the Yankees are not going to win the World Series this year. There are a lot of other teams that could beat them. So sorry, but they are not going to win.

Negative, ghost rider. Though, I've gotta say they have recovered well from their tough start and are playing stronger, I don't see them winning the division and if they do win a wild card, I don't see them winning the world series. Only the Marlins have ever won the World Series after entering the playoffs as a Wild Card.

Anything is possible, but they need to get Matsui and Sheffield back and performing as before, and they need to shore up their bullpen. As a die-hard Red Sox fan, though, I hope they finish on top of the wild card and lose to the Red Sox in the ALCS.

There is no way in hell they are going to win the world series. no pitching, too many injuries and a lineup who will be elgible for medicare by next year.
