Ok as you all know by now Earnhardt has scheduled an 11 a.m. ET news conference at his JR Motorsports shop in Mooresville, N.C., during which he will announce his plans for next season. And all signs are pointing to Hendricks.

NASCAR.com is stating The contract of Hendrick driver Kyle Busch expires after the 2008 season, and The Associated Press reported Tuesday that Busch may have asked to be let out of his deal.

OK it's no secret I am a die hard Jr and Gordon fan and I am totally stoked about this decision. However if you're a Jr fan and a Gordon hater are you upsett by this choice as some people are speculating? Be honest but please answer maturely. If you're opposed to this change; I'm NOT asking if you'll start supporting Gordon, I want to know why and will you stop supporting Jr?

I am really hoping the majority will say they support Dale.

Okay, tomorrow word comes down officially as to where the 8 driver goes. All the sports pages say it is Hendricks. What happens to all of the people who absolutely hate each other because of the rift between the 24 and the 8?
Can they all just get along? Or will there be even more bickering than there already is everytime one of these 2 wins or doesn't win?
Opinions?

If he races for Hendricks, Will the ignorant (not all) Jr fans cheer as he wins but complain about Hendricks Domination? Thats like hating and being an anti-government but on welfare. Thats like a woman having fake nails, dyed hair, boob job, colored contact lens at a bar snapping her finger saying "I wanna be with a REAL man"

will the conspiracy theorists finally shut up and just be happy he will have a legitimate shot at a championship or will they say Rick has team orders now? It appears Mary D's sources are wrong and that HMS is letting Kyle out of his contract for 2008 (apparently he's asked to get out of it) and that Jr will get the ride in the #5 car. Wow, what a move by Rick if it's true, the smartest man in racing. Here's the link to the story, please read before answering.

I don't think they had them at Pocono. Both Robbie Gordon and Jimmie Johnsom came in with flat tires and ground off their sway bars. With it being so far around Pocono why wouldn't they use an inner liner in the tire there or for that matter everywhere? What tracks do they use them at and why?

for me the best is a toss up between
either Rory Byrne or Adrian Newey
(i wonder how fast the car would be if these two designed it between them)

worst f1 designers
the guy who designs this years Hondas, Toyotas.
agree ,disagree or any others.

Why isn't Tony Stewart there? He is a former IRL champion. The cars in NASCAR are harder to set up.So that makes the drivers smarter. If Tony or Robbie Gordon go back to the Indy 500 they will eventually win.I don't see your boys winning the Daytona 500.That's even if they qualify.

Are the two circuits comparable in technology? Talent?

I'm not looking for an endorsement of one over the other. I just would like to know more than I do about each.

there are basically 20 questions in here complaining about how unfair yesterday's race was. its wasting space and we've all heard what you have to say already. i respect your opinion but go find the question from before and leave your opinion there.

i know how the race finished and it looked bad, but the truth of the matter is it was raining and the rain hit jeff's car before it hit ryan's so not only was his tires going but the track in front of jeff was slicker.

you guys complaining about the race is not going to change the outcome so just deal with it.

on lap 90 jimmie johnson had the flat tire but there was no even though there was a lot of debris on the track and earlier in the race when robby gordon had a flat tire exactly like his they called a caution and jeff gordon was leading when jimmies tire went down but then at lap 106 when ryan newman was beside jeff gordon and jeff just said on the radio that his tires were shot and he couldnt hold on anymore so when newman was right beside him and you could easily tell ryan was gonna make the pass but they called the caution right as newman was passing him...sounds like nascar wanted jeff to win

"How much longer is NASCAR going to pretend it's not trying to fix races for "Mr. Charmed Life"? Isn't it amazing, with all Jeff Gordon's car problems, that NASCAR threw the caution just as Ryan Newman was going to pass him, but refused to when Jimmie Johnson's flat tire was throwing debris all over the track?"

"As the No. 48 was spewing debris to the far corners of Monroe County, Pa., there were a lot of people who were wondering when (if?) the caution would be displayed. Alas, it didn't happen; the debris wasn't hindering the racing, Agent Mulder. Chalk it up to another judgment call by the guys in the box."

Seems like to me there are more and more people are noticing that nascar favors Hendrick team.
