"How much longer is NASCAR going to pretend it's not trying to fix races for "Mr. Charmed Life"? Isn't it amazing, with all Jeff Gordon's car problems, that NASCAR threw the caution just as Ryan Newman was going to pass him, but refused to when Jimmie Johnson's flat tire was throwing debris all over the track?"

"As the No. 48 was spewing debris to the far corners of Monroe County, Pa., there were a lot of people who were wondering when (if?) the caution would be displayed. Alas, it didn't happen; the debris wasn't hindering the racing, Agent Mulder. Chalk it up to another judgment call by the guys in the box."

Seems like to me there are more and more people are noticing that nascar favors Hendrick team.

I think that this opinion is the same as many others. This opinion out weighs the opinions of people who think it's not true. I would say more than 50% of nascar fans agree with this opinion, and less disagree.

Everything was planned out. You could tell that when Newman went to make his pass that nascar came to Gordon's rescue. It may be an opinion here, but to some I'm sure they believe this to be a fact.

I couldn't agree with you more. It is ridiculous, I don't think it is limited to Hendricks though, I believe Hendricks and Gibbs are THE favs, then you have any other chevy team, then anyone else. It is pretty crazy that all that time and they pick an instant before Ryan passes him to end it. And look how much better these teams cars are than anyone else's. I understand that to a point some teams put more money in whatever, but these guys are simply in SUPERIOR EQUIPMENT. I'm not saying their drivers aren't good, but they are not so much better than all the other drivers that they can just dominate. And how funny is it that Jeff Gordon especially, but all Hendrick and Gibb cars have really profited in the win department since the whole "impound" races began. Something smells bad that's all I'm saying.

I agree that there is favoritism. There has been ALL year. I am not a JR. fan either. This race would not have been as bad, but they didn't throw a caution when there was debris on the track and then waiting till the middle of a pass. That was rigged plain and simple...

I agree, boy do I agree they didnt notice lap 95 when Carl was screaming its raining in one until he had pulled off and jeff got it, I dont blame Jeff, but I do blame nascar for having a race they knew they could not finish, they were saying that from the beginning...

The guy who wrote that was on some sort of forum much like this one. He was just voicing his opinion as many of you on here have.

The reason over 50% of fans feel like that is because over 50% are Earnhardt fans. If I had to guess, the fan base would probably proportion out like so:

70%=Earnhardt Jr.

10%= Jeff Gordon

20%=Other

Of course there will be many more similar opinions about Gordon winning a controversal race. It's not hard to figure out.
