Okay, tomorrow word comes down officially as to where the 8 driver goes. All the sports pages say it is Hendricks. What happens to all of the people who absolutely hate each other because of the rift between the 24 and the 8?
Can they all just get along? Or will there be even more bickering than there already is everytime one of these 2 wins or doesn't win?
Opinions?

I hope there's a truce, but seeing some of the answers on questions in the past, I really don't know if it will happen. Someone posted a question earlier wondering if Gordon and Jr will be able to get along being on the same team. I think they willl; the question is, will the fans all get along? Only time will tell.

I've been a Jr fan only because I was such a Dale Sr fan. If this move to Hendrick happens, I'll never bicker or bash Gordon & Johnson. I'll just go out and buy Home Depot orange stuff. Dale Jr may end up in a better piece, but I think it'll cost him some fans.

Jr doesn't have any beef with Gordon and his dad certainly didn't either. I think Sr would be smiling down on his son for going to such a great organization with the best teammates anyone could ask for. Dale Sr realized what a special talent Gordon was right away, that's why he called him wonderboy. This situation does have the potential for bad feelings down the road if Jr doesn't start to produce, though. There will be a TON of pressure on him because he's going to be in a proven car and race team.

If what is being reported is true; I think he will be a great asset for the team. I think he will learn alot from Jeff for one. (his Dad had respect for the man and taught him alot about racing). As far as the fans getting along; that will be something we will all have to wait and see. I have never had a problem w/ Jr. As a matter of fact he's one of my favorites. I think that if this move (??) helps him win more races; the HMS Haters will learn to respect Mr. Hendrick and maybe the drivers who drive for him.

I strongly doubt it. If anything I think a number of the Junior Nation will join the Stewart Nation just to avoid having to eat the crow that awaits them should Junior go to Hendricks.

Junior Fans have said some of the meanest, nastiest, foulest trash ever said in any American Sport about Jeff Gordon and Hendricks Motorsports. Hendricks and even Gordon Fans will embrace Junior; but they will not tolerate the beer tossing, gay bashing, junior high level trash talking of the Junior Nation. The Junior Nation is going to have to grow up real fast if they are to find themselve welcome in the Hendricks Ranks.

There is no issues between Dale Jr and Jeff Gordon. Its just the fans that hate each other. There wasn't even any hatred between Dale Sr and Jeff Gordon. They were business partners and friends off the track. I hope Jeff Gordon gets the credit he deserves now from any Earnhardt fans that didn't like him for no good reason.

Good Question !!! I think that everything will be ok in time. The true Jr fans won't abandon him or stop booing Jeff. I personally wanted him to go to RCR but if this is true it will be cool. I liked Sr and I like Jr so it's not a big deal to me!

Jr. might have class but his fans don't have any. They know they don't belong with an organization like Hendrick and will be the red-headed stepchildren of our family. They are the one's who started this feud and it's up to them to step up and be the bigger person. I don't like Jr. I'll admit, I've had one favorite driver and that's Gordon. Their ignorrance will never change that, and my opinion of them won't change, and I'm sure the feeling is mutual. Do what you will Jr. fans, your only demoralizing yourselves.

Personally, I think NASCAR kind of promotes this stuff to bring interest into the sport
