I can't believe that Hendrick signed Jr. It doesnt mean he will win.. he may win a few races but JEFFY and Jimmie are the main drivers and will always be, and they will have the best equipment and the best cars out there in Hendrick and they are already the best drivers.. BUT Hendrick motorsports has the best team and as much as I dont care for Jr, I guess I can learn to like him... i think he has a cool personality, but the only thing that pisses my off about him, is him downing Jeffy in the past...

The fan base part is to me is: THE PEOPLE THAT DOESNT LIKE HIM FOR GOING TO HENDRICKS, WASNT A TRUE FAN ANYWAYS.... BY-GOD....

I am a Jeff Gordon fan and I am not at all happy with this decision. However, Jr should be happy Hendrick would take him. Maybe now he might win a race or lead a lap at the very least. His fans throw beer cans at Jeff but I can guarantee Jeff had some say in this decision. Can we all say Thank You Jeff?

I've have followed Jr since he first started in Busch racing, But I watched his dad first. I know what i thought of Jeff Gordon then and it basically stills hold true today. Also Jimmie Johnson being Gordon Team mate I have the same feelings towards him as I do Gordon. I know i'm a huge JR fan but I really don't know if I can Cheer for a Hendrick Team. I dream of Driving a F1 car. Even if it's just as a test pilot, I get goosebumps just thinking about it lol. Should I take Karting or just build a time attack car? The thing is that I enjoy auto-x and I whould like to one day have a race car to lap around at the track but I want to drive in a open wheel race car. Only a TRUE fan will support their favorite driver no matter where he drives. I would follow my driver no matter what. As a matter of fact I already have. McMurray went from Ganassi to Roush. I wasn't a big fan of Roush at the time, but I still stuck with McMurray. And now I'm a huge fan of Roush. True fans will follow and support all the time.

What if today Dale Jr. gets on tv and says he's joining a team that is not Hendrick?
What if this is all one big step up between Jr. and Hendrick to make people think this and fool the media and the world?
Just to ensure the truth didn't come out until Dale Jr. said where he was going himself. Has anybody thought about this? It being a deversion to get people thinking one thing and then when he makes his announcement, it comes out to be something entirely different.
