I've have followed Jr since he first started in Busch racing, But I watched his dad first. I know what i thought of Jeff Gordon then and it basically stills hold true today. Also Jimmie Johnson being Gordon Team mate I have the same feelings towards him as I do Gordon. I know i'm a huge JR fan but I really don't know if I can Cheer for a Hendrick Team. What are your thoughts?

Just so you all know I would support JR anywhere else even Bobby Ginn Racing which is also Hendrick. and Yeah I know thats dumb but thats how it is. Because hes not directly Gordon or Johnson's team mate, I'd be ok with that. For that matter anywhere else I don't care what kind of car just not Gordon and Johnson's Team Mate. I know that Dale SR and Gordon were business partners. I own a Hat from Chase Auth. but I still don't like the idea that I have to hope that 2 out of 4 the hendricks cars finish the race. JR and Mears. The other 2 cars I don't care if they finish a race. As for Kyle Busch Nascar should take him and his bother out of Nascar completely.

Jr went from being at the top of the list at DEI to the 4th driver at Hendrick ok well maybe 3rd but you know the best stuff isn't going to go to JR. Gordon and Johnson will get the best stuff in that sable. if he went anywhere else he would be Top Dog. Regardless of where he went.

I am so with you. When this thing started with Dale Jr. leaving DEI, all I said was if he went to Hendricks, I would burn all my Dale Jr. stuff. I could have handled anywhere else, but I have been cheering for Hendricks to lose every week for YEARS, and I don't think I can change that. So how about Truex? or even Harvick? He drives for Big E's old team, and I have always liked him. Time to pick a new driver!!!

At least there's seven months before the first race in 2008 so there'll be some time for everyone to get their minds around this. It's not like Junior is coming out next week in a Hendricks car! Having said that, I'm disappointed he's going with Hendrick. A lot of marriages between superstars don't work well. That's a lot of fan base to meld and the Gordon and Earnhardt fans have been polar opposites. Also, it would have been better for NASCAR in my opinion if Junior had gone with a different team. Like Fox Sports said, this sort of makes Hendrick the Yankees of baseball.

I think if you're a true Jr. fan, you would follow him wherever he goes. I personally do not understand what people have against drivers like Gordon. My dad has been a Gordon fan for as long as I can remember, and I always thought he was a pretty good driver. Better than Jr. in my opinion, but thats just my opinion. Back to the question, I simply do not understand what you have against Hendrick.

Drop him, he has gone over to the "rainbow side". If he had gone to any other Chevy team, I would have supported him, and don't think he wont change demeanor either. doesn't Johnson remind you of a younger Gordon. being around those guys will have an effect on him. (instead of cutting his hair and shaving his beard like johnny Damon did when he went to the yankees, We will get race winning quotes from junior like "this is for all the 5 haters out there" Junior now joins the list of drivers that I will boo at the racetrack which includes Gordon, Johnson, the Busch brothers and roush racing.

Are you a really fan of Dale, Jr.? Or, are you just a fan of Dale, Sr.'s ghost. A real fan would support their driver no matter where they drive. What do you have against Hendrick? They have the best operation in NASCAR! Who would not want to drive one of their race cars. You do not have to pull for every driver on a team. I really like Gordon. I really like Junior. I respect Johnson's talent but do not like him that much. I really do not like Kyle Busch. I do not hold that against Rick Hendrick or his organization.

Us Chicago guys get it - This hate for Gordon is just weird. Everyone knows that SR. and Gordon were friends and business partners. You act like it was Gordon who put Sr. into the wall at Daytona.
Get over it. Jr and Gordon are now teammates. If this is hard for you, than go cheer for Kyle Busch who is leaving Hendricks.

Hendrick Motorsports has produced one of the dominant performances in today's racing historical past this 12 months, taking 10 of 14 wins to begin the season. Driver Jeff Gordon presently is on best of the standings through 242 elements, and the Hendrick steady additionally entails final 12 months's protecting champ, Jimmie Johnson, as good as new first-time winner Casey Mears, triumphant within the Coca-Cola six hundred on the finish of May. The signing might create a partnership among 2 of racing's so much strong personalities, armed with extra similarities than you could feel. On a extra private stage, the deal might pair a driving force who consistently has to stand the lack of his father coming face-to-face with a person who is without end getting better from the lack of his son. I am a huge JR fan & I will support him no matter what team he is racing for. Just because he is racing as a teammate of Jeff & Jimmie, does not mean that I have to like them. I will be going for Dale Jr & hoping he wins races & a championship. Racing for DEI was obviously not winning him races, and he has to look out for himself & his family. I think racing for Hendricks will give him the opportunity he is looking for, and I will be behind him 100%. That does not mean that I will be behind Jeff or Jimmie. When they are on the track it is everyone for himself!!!!!!!! Go Dale JR.....

If you have been a fan for that long of both Sr and Jr then you should follow Jr and be happy for him. He hasn't been winning at DEI, so here is his chance to see him win and possibly a championship. I think a lot of you fans are worried about what his Dad would think, His dad is gone now and anyways I'm sure he would be very happy for Jr and support him 100%. Nascar is about winning and championships.

Be the nascar fan you say you are and support your driver!

I've been polling friends since 5:30 this morning. Earnhart fans are not thrilled. As a Gordon fan, I am overjoyed! First, they are both stellar drivers and the dual presence will make for one unstoppable stable. Add Jimmy Johnson and Casey Mears (who has race fuel for blood) and you have sheer dominance. Personally, I can't wait for '08.
