I think he is going to leave. I think DEI is done.

With DEI and RCR teaming up engines, other resources will be shared and Truex stands to gain a lot from all of this. This sport takes time and Truex showed in the Busch series that he can be a champion. I don't know nor will i predict that he will be great or anything, but he should benefit very well from this. He's been doing good now but we'll see if he makes the chase! Also Jr. could value from the remainder of the season with this as well. Supposedly the first engines from the merge will come out at Daytona. I guess we'll see how all 5 of them do!

Martin Truex, Jr. is the new top dog at DEI. He has gotten consistently better this season and just got his first of hopefully many wins. Look for DEI to make a big deal of the #1 now.

Martin Truex Jr will become a much more respected racer, out from under the circus show JR has creasted lately. With DEI teaming with RCR to create new engines, his cars will only get better. He has shown that he is a mature and growing driver, and he will compete for Championships for years to come. I don't think Theresa has any options but to hang on to Truex, or let DEI fall to pieces.

He'll probably stay at DEI because that team needs at least one good driver. Paul Menard isn't a big name...if he ever will be. And with the Win Truex had the other weekend...it put his name on the map of one of the top contenders. He'll stay in the 1 car and probably take over some of Jr's fans who won't follow Jr.

Truex Jr is the driver that benifits the most. Now he doesn't have the pressure to win races to keep up with his teammate( Dale Jr) Martin Truex Jr will be the main driver at DEI and I'm sure they will do anything for him to win races and to be a champion.

Truex's future is in his own hands. His contract is up in 2008 @ DEI I do believe. So if he wants to stay, I'm sure they'd be happy to throw some extra $ his way to keep him. Or, If he wants, He could leave and go sign with another team. My decision would depend on who they hire to replace Dale Jr and be my teammate in 08'. We will see, But I see him LEAVING DEI @ end of next year.

If you have noticed how well Truex began running in the second half of last year, and how he continues to improve this year, he could just be getting warmed up as long as DEI continues to provide and improve their cars. In 2008, it appears he becomes the team leader for DEI's fleet.

He will stay where he is at. He is the number one driver there and DEI is going to put all of its efforts into developing a top notch program to offset this negative attention and I look for them to be up there with the big dogs in the near future.
GO TRUEX!
