The only real requirement for being a Jr. fan is HATING hendrick motorsports. Will Jr. fans be hypocrites or will junior have no more fans left?

Only difference now is that his fans will start throwing boxes of Corn Flakes on the track when Gordon continues to beat Junior on a regular basis.

I still don't think having better cars is going to make much of a difference for Junior. He's now on a team with three other drivers better than him, who are in equal equipment. I honestly don't believe he's the driver his fans make him out to be. They are already saying he's got the championship won next year just because he's in a Hendrick car. He has not proved he is a good driver. Even Rusty Wallace said on ESPN yesterday that he didn't think junior was a top 7 driver in the Cup Series. I agree.

You are wrong. Your supposition that the only requirement for being a Jr. fan is hating Hendrick Motorsports smell of cow manure. The only REAL requirement for being a Jr. fan is liking Dale Earnhardt, Jr.

Your requirement makes you a fan of The Wall, hot dog wrappers and the Grim Reaper. Why does a certain group have to always hate the successful, winning drivers and teams? If I remember correctly, a whole lot of people hated Dale, Sr. too.

Hendrick Motorsports is the best organization in NASCAR. If that is the dark side, so be it. Junior said he wants to win races. Hendrick has won ten of fourteen this year. Jeff Gordon has 79 wins, fifth all-time, all with Hendrick. Junior said he wants to win championships. Hendrick has won six in the last twelve with three drivers. Only two other teams have accomplished anything close. Junior Johnson had six in ten years with Cale Yarborough and Darrell Waltrip from 1976 to 1985. Childress had six with Dale Earnhardt from 1986 to 1994. Seems to me that Hendrick was a great choice for Junior.

Real Jr. fans will always cheer for him, no matter who he is driving for.

A true Jr fan will follow him no matter where he goes. Plus hendricks is the only team that can actually give jr what he needs and wants to win. The only hypocrites are the fans who stop cheering for him now that he's on HMS. And how is that the darkside?

The smart ones will! He didn't go to the dark side; he went to the WINNING side. Ask Jr if he went to the dark side. If you were a true Dale Jr. fan, you'd be happy for him. Now he has a chance to win and really continue his father's legacy. He'll be driving the #5 Budweiser; after you've gotten a few beers in you, you won't be able to tell it from the #8. His father would be pleased!! So should you. Teresa is ruining DEI, not Jr , no Jeff and not Hendrick. If she had half a brain cell, Jr would own 51% of his father's company and still be driving the #8 Budweiser Chevrolet. But she let him go because she was too stupid to admit that she needed him more than he needed her. Kelly Earnhardt knew! And he did what any good man does. Listen to the woman with the brains! Teresa can hire the Busch brothers for next year and kiss her owner points goodbye in fines. We can bring back Rusty Wallace into the #2 Miller Lite Dodge. The past as you know it is gone. Now its Jr Motorsports and Hendricks together. RCR had it's chance to put him in a Chevrolet (possibly in the #3) but they blew it too. Someday Jr will drive the #3 Black Goodwrench Chevrolet at Daytona and win. That will be the greatest day in NA$CARs history. Today is now the greatest day in NA$CAR history. So go have a beer and think about it. I'll going to have a beer (Bud light) and celebrate!!

would you rather love him and watch him have mediocre season after mediocre season, and never win a championship, or would you rather him go to a team that can help him win a championship, even though he will be a teammate to that evil Gordon and Johnson. you are the hypocrite, you hate Gordon for only one reason, he is a winner. he has never done anything to any of you idiots, yet you call him gay, make slurs about his wife and unborn baby, and throw things at him when he wins. if you are a real fan you will be happy for Jr., if you are not, go pull for stewart, he acts more like a junior fan, than junior ever has.

Personally not a fan of Jr's but I doubt his fans will leave him just because of a change like this.

Well, it is up to the fans. They make the decision. As for me, I will always support Dale Earnhardt Jr.
No matter what team he is joining.

i think he ought to ultimately have had a extensive following in basic terms using fact his way and ask your self and honesty are so fresh yet there is no question yet what he's the anointed newborn in NASCAR. yet he has dealt with this anointed one photograph or mantle that has been located on him o.k.. He does not communicate unwell of all of us. once you hear him in the process the race speaking together with his group he's often valuable. whilst he's to blame for a topic he accepts it and does not grouse. it somewhat is clean he has been raised desirable and takes to heart that he has a voice which would be listened to. i do no longer think of he over makes use of who he's or over performs the anointed one place. and that i think he could shed it if he ought to. yet he can not. So he does the suited he can to be himself, be actual to himself, and hopes the racing worldwide will sometime credit him for what he himself has completed and not in straightforward terms be at the back of him using fact he's "Junior". i like the extra youthful guy. he's not my favourite motive force yet I do appreciate whilst he's interviewed listening to him. He looks to have a superb outlook. Given all the luggage he incorporates, i stumble on that somewhat astonishing.

This will do a lot of things to a lot of different people.
But I guess I go back to what Dale Earnhardt said when asking to drive for Junior Johnson and teaming up with Darrel Waltrip....

"Cane and Able were brothers weren't they?"
.
