Speaking as a "diehard, redneck, hillbilly fan of JR" it is his decision to go where ever he feels is best for him. He has been under Srs. shadow for way too long and its past time for him to be his own man and not be judged or mocked just for who his dad was.
JR wants to win some races and with Teresa & him not being on the best of terms that was not going to happen at DEI. If it takes him going to HMS then so be it!!!

I hope all the Earnhardt fans cry like the little whiners they all..

I hate to say this but Hendrick is the top team.

Roush is close but Hendrick is the best... If your going to leave a good team like DEI you can only go to the best....

Now with that said I still think Jr is a good driver. I wouldn't go out of my way to sign him...I think that there is a lot on his shoulders now to put up or shut up and win a championship. Thats something I don't think he will ever do.

I hate the Idea of JR going to Hendrick. I've watched him race long before he came into "Nextel" cup. I've been a fan since he started racing Busch cars, and when he went to race for his dad in the cup cars. I think he will lose a lot more fans that were loyal because of his father than he thinks.

I like Dale Jr., and can't stand Johnson or Gordon. I'll still cheer for Junior, but boo Johnson and Gordon. I'm not a fan of the team, but I'm still behind my driver 100%. True Junior fans will stick with him, no matter what.

True Fans of Jr. will stay with him, and accept his decision. When this 5 year contract is up and he wants to drive for someone else, his fans will follow. Just because he is going to Hendricks doesn't make him a different person. It makes him a driver that wants to win races and championships, and make the best decisions he sees fit for his career and his future.

Dale Jr. is finally making a great decision that he should have made sooner. Why in the world would one of the best and highest profile drivers in NASCAR not want to race for the best team in the sport. I have been and Jr. fan since his Busch Days and I am absolutely pumped about his decision. Now we will see him lift the Nextel Cup Championships weve been waiting for!

closeness. If i am not mistaken did not rick lose his son last year in the crash(or maybe year before), and he was getting ready to ride in th e25 car. He and jr's dad were friendly, so, it makes sense to go where you feel your part of family.
