Its really up to the fans how they will react. There true colors will show now. Allthough some have alredy shown their true colors by booing and throwing trash. To me if you are a "true" fan you will love your driver no matter where he goes. Poor Jimmie Johnson(who is my favorite)is hated just by association.

That reminds me that most fans root for all the drivers on their team mates team. Look at Truex, most Jr fans love him just because he is with DEI.. And he really hasn't showed anything til recently.

Jr says he wants to finish out his career driving the # 3 but right now he wants to make his own decisions and not live under his dad's shadow anymore.

Yes he will lose some Fans; because some of them have talked so much mean spirited trash about Hendricks that they would have to eat a huge helping of Crow to remain Junior Fans with him at Hendricks; and they are too stubborn and proud to pull up to the table and have a heeping helping of some roasted crow.

Even with Junior at Hendricks I don't think that the Junior Nation will ever give Gordon the credit he deserves. Why.....because to do that they have to admit they where wrong about Gordon; and too many of them are too damn proud and stubborn to admit the truth and let things be how they be.

Ive seen on ESPN and yahoo sports that Earnhardt Jr is going to Hendrick racing, will be Jeff Gordon and Jimmie Johnson new teammate and will announce it tomorrow 6-13 at 11am.
I am not a fan of Dale Jr, really I prefer Johnson. But, I have been a fan since the 2004. I think this is one of the worst decisions made by a driver. I see Jr losing alot of fan support by this deal. Yes, he may win races and a championship from this deal. But, he is going to a team in which die hard race fans of his dads were the ones boohooing in the stands. Those fans took on Jr when his dad died. If he had went to either Gibbs(Stewart being a pal) or RCR where his dad raced, he would have had the same chance, my opinion.
I am just shocked by what I am hearing here. I think it has all to do with money. They are saying that Kyle Busch is the driver that is leaving Hendrick making room for Jr to join the 4 team stable. If anything is UN-American, its Gordon and Jr being the same teammates. There will be a increase in Bud sales because people will want to drown this out!

I honestly thinks he may lose fans, yes. But if he joins Hendrick and he's doing well, he could gain those lost fans back. I'm curious to see how the fans act in Talladega, if Jr does sign on with Hendrick. Talladega is his track and everybody there loves Dale Jr and most people there can't stand Jeff Gordon. He gets things throwed at him. Will them being team mates change all of this? Will Gordon and Jr. fans join together as being both of their fans?

I think he will lose a lot of fans if he goes to Hendrick. He will still have the most fans by far though. Some of the more traditionalist Jr. fans, no way they will support the Hendrick team.

Yes...If he was going to leave DEI, the thing to do would have been to go to Childress, in honor of his dad...Hell, talk about marketting?...Dale, Jr. just blew a chance to capitalize on what possibly could have been Dale, Jr. in the black #3...How cool would that have been?...Now, fans will never know...

he will lose the rednecks that only supported him because of his dad. but he will pick up many more, driving for a team that can actually give him a championship. i like to hear from these idiots that think that dale jr. and stewart are such good friends. the truth is that jr. can't stand tony. that is one of the reasons that he would never drive for gibbs. they do promos together, but that is where it ends.good luck J.R.

Since I am a not a fan of Jr. I really do not care. Does not matter who leaves HMS, Casey or Kyle, Jr. will be the 4th best driver at HMS.

Lord have mercy on everyone when all the Gordon hating leopards change their spots which would be inevitable if Jr. joins the Hendrix team.

I think he will and then you will see who are the real Jr. fans and who just like him because of his sponsor or last name or someother reason like that. Real fans don't jump ship just because their driver joins another team even if it is HMS.
