Champ Car has lost another event (China), so they're in trouble, especially if the European Tour fails. They also lost the race in Denver. The IRL is rumored to have an event at Rockingham Speedway in North Carolina, so they have to be in decent shape to take a big gamble like that. Their isn't any public news about a merger, but it could be happening, but behind very closed doors. If there is no merger Champ Car will have a season, they amount of dates is the question.

nicely Champ automobile isn't likely everywhere. in assessment to the IRL which rests its complete season on one race. The Champ automobile sequence has diverse races that make money. The IRL could be bankrupt if it wasn't for the Indy 500. Races like the long sea coast Grand Prix have 3 day attendance figures in the two hundred,000 selection, that's why Champ automobile won't fold. The IRL on the different hand, different than for the Indy 500 of direction, is a humorous tale. it extremely is astounding to work out a million race sustain a chain, yet thats precisely what is going on with the IRL.

I hope that Champ car folds. Than maybe we can add a few more competitive drivers to the IRL mix like Bourdais and Junqueria.

Even if CHAMP CAR folds again, both sides are too stubborn to merge. The gap widens.Too many philosophical differences. One side wants road racing, one wants ovals. The only thing that both sides have in common is greed.

Ive said it before and I'm saying it again, not until one series goes bankrupt, sad isn't it? both series are running spec engines and chassis trying to be cost effective, both are having problems filling a grid, and still they refuse to merge for the fans benefit, so we the working man fan suffer while the millionaires play the "f" you no "f" you game, and nascar reaps the rewards, so for myself who grew up with the ppg indy car world championship, i will watch all three but if the races over lap i will be watching f1
