the on-going steroid allegations the past 5 years, players like Bonds, Clemens, McGwire, Sosa and Palmeiro, who were all Hall of Fame locks in my opinion, don't you think that a player like Dale Murphy is starting to look a lot better as a potential Hall of Famer? This guy was/is a mormon and was a non-user, non-drinker, just a clean living guy who played in the majors from 1976-1993 with the Braves (76-90), Phillies (90-92) and Rockies (93). In 2,180 Games, he had 7,960 At Bats, 2,111 hits, 350 DB's, 39 3B's, 398 HR's, 1,197 Runs, 1,266 RBI's, and a .265 BA, .346 OBP, .469 SLG% and a lot of strikeouts with 1,748.

Murphy was a 2 time NL MVP in 1982 & 1983 and a 7 time all star. 5 Time Gold Glove winner in the OF, and many more awards. Why is this guy not in the Hall of Fame? Can someone please explain this to me? He was a clean, hard-nosed player who was dominant throughout the 80's, let Murph in already, especially with all the crooks/cheaters playing today.

I say it is inevitable. Reasons are the dominance the USA has had in recent years in the under 18 tournament, winning gold twice and silver twice in the last 4 years.
As well as the only team that has really given Canada problems in the last 2 world juniors was the USA.
USA hockey is much more organized now and the programs they have are second to none.
AND PLEASE THIS IS NOT AN ANTI CANADIAN POST.

This is the toughest challange for the Celtics this season. The Pistons are playing well but the Celtics are undefeated at home & have been destroying teams. Who is your pick?

Both the 2004 and the 2007 World Series were finally clinched away from Fenway. Why can't they win a World Series at Home so that we can see the Fenway Faithful going nuts?
