i'm a Colts fan. right here is how I see it... needless to say, the Colts greatest weapon is their passing attack. The Patriots secondary substitute into massacred this offseason. they are going to have hassle combating Peyton Manning, Reggie Wayne, and Marvin Harrison. With getting outdated linebackers, Joseph Addai could have an extra elementary pastime this season. The Patriots passing attack is likewise their greatest weapon. The Colts secondary is between the final interior the league. Randy Moss rapidly turns into much less of a probability while confronted with the actual corners Kelvin Hayden and Marlin Jackson. The Colts very almost beat the Patriots final season with a huge sort of gamers out on harm. With a healthful team, they're extra desirable than a tournament for the Pats.

First, you need to keep the Pats from scoring. The key to the Pats offense is their passing game, stop it and you can keep it low scoring. The Eagles showed the best way to do that, get physical with the Patriot receivers. Bump Moss and Welker at the line, don't let them just run clean past you or they'll beat you. Also, you've got to get pressure on Brady. If he's got all day to throw the ball he'll pick you apart. Get some pressure on him and he looks pretty average.
Second, you've got to score points yourself. The Pats don't have the best run defense in the league, so run the ball a lot. It should be a game in which your primary back gets a minimum of 25 carries. Use the run then to set up the pass. Run it a lot early, that will open up the play-action passes.

The team that had the best defensive game plan was the Jets. They gave up a lot on the ground but they slowed down the pass, could other teams use it? Some could, you can not be too undersized and try this because it involves standing up alot and if a team is too undersized then they will end up giving up 10 or 15 yards per rush, and you also need to have a secondary that can cover the recievers. For AFC playoff teams:
JVille - Yes they have the size and the speed, they could be effective with this approach.
Pittsburg - Yes they could, but I doubt they would.
Colts - no they are too small on defense. Standing up at the line really isn't an option for them. Patriots would end up with 300 running yards. They also dont have very good players in the secondary for pass coverage, bob sanders is good on the run but he isn't anything special on the pass.
Browns - Not really the browns just have to try to outscore them.
SD - Not effectively their secondary isnt very good.

Running the ball is the most overrated and cliche' thing to say... A few teams have run the ball well against NE this year and LOST.... Who's out passed them? Philly's been the closest. The only way to beat New England is to out PASS them.
Also, the running D of the Pats is extremely underrated. When they've got a 2+ score lead, they'll allow the opponent to run the ball and eat up the clock all day.
So... To beat the Pats, you must PASS!

Teams can beat the Patriots like the Eagles beat the Cowboys
A relentless Pass Rush getting in the face of Tom Brady ,take away his passing lanes so he can not get it to Moss , or his go to guy Welker . As you seen The Patriots O-line is the Unsung heroes of this Patriots team they have been giving Brady all the time in the world to sit back there and pick the defense apart , they pick up Blitzes well .
The Ravens had a good game plan against the Patriots but the emotional break down at the end of that game cost them . you have to play discipline football vs the Patriots make them work for every yard they get .
As for the Patriots Defense they rank 5th against the Pass and 10th against the Run
As you have seen thru their 14 games teams can move the ball against them but then they crumble in the REDZONE ( the Patriots bend but don't break philosophy) . you have to mix it up in the REDZONE find the Patriots weak link in that area and attack it . running the ball with the Patriots front 7 playing as well as they are in the redzone i would elect to Pass on 1st and 2nd down spread them out on 3rd and shoot the middle of the field .
Just my thoughts on how to beat the Patriots
it's better than saying .....Its impossible the Pats can't be beat

The only way a team is going to beat the Patriots is if the make a deal with the devil. I am not trying to be cocky, I just believe that Brady can't be stopped.

First, you need to be able to run the football. We all know that if you can run and control the clock, then Brady and Moss have less of a chance to hurt you. Run the football, mix in playaction, and hope you get a shot at a big play somewhere. Don't be too aggressive. It's very simple, but it works.
Defensively, you need to force the issue with Brady. Blitz from all different areas. Disguise your blitzes. Blitz the safeties. Make him shuffle around in the pocket. Hit him every time he is throwing the ball. The moment he gets comfortable back there he is going to pick you apart. Laurence Maroney is not going to beat you by running the football, so focus on pass coverage and your pass rush.
You have to keep the game close into the fourth quarter - and then anything can happen.

The only way you can beat any team that is a winner, whether it be the Cowboys, Packers or Patriots is to execute and be disciplined in your job...offense or defense the bottom line is to EXECUTE YOUR JOB! without error then you can be successful!

So, a bunch of minimum wage clerks hanging out on an internet answer board can figure it out but the multimillion dollar coacching staffs of billion dollar organizations in the NFL can't. Interesting.
I'll go with the "score more points" answer. easier said than done
