Ok so I'm starting to run to get/stay in shape to play soccer in High School. How many miles or minutes should I run each day? What stretches should I do before and after I run? I've only started to run each day for about a week and I think some advice might help because I seem to run and then get cramps in my calves and near my ankle. So I'm kind of easing into running right now. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Why in the worl do the NFL need a wonderlic test for? I mean c,mon, Rex Grossman had a 29 and Peyton Manning had a 28. Tests don't determine whether you're a football player or not it's what you do on the field, not on some stupid IQ test wish they need to get rid of.

I don't think he is if you just look at his MLB Stats. However if you compile all of his pro hits he has the third most all time.

Major Leagues: 2576 (through July 8, 2007)
Minor Leagues: 618
Mexican League: 316
Japan's Nippon Professional Baseball: 286
Dominican Winter League: 267
South Korea's Korean Baseball Organization: 156
TOTAL (through July 8, 2007): 4,219

He would of easily had 3,000 MLB hits if he had not left for Japan due to the strike.

I believe that you must play in the MLB to become hall bound, but if they have a significant amount of other experience such as Julio Dice K and Ichiro other parts should be considered also.

Julio has a batting title, 3 all star appearances, an all star MVP award, many records as the oldest player.

Personally I would vote for Julio, but he has been one of my favorites for a long time.

Ganguly, Sachin, Dravid are just not getting it done.they're supposed to lead the way and they're failing badly against an inexperienced England team.

They look unenthusiastic on the field. I don't see any huddles or any kind of conversations at all .No encouragement been given to players who dropped catchers or bowlers who are being scored heavily for runs

They look like they're going thru the motions, waiting for something to happen instead of forcing the issue

Dhoni is one of the overrated cricketers today...the man just cannot bat at all. He scores quickfire runs against weak opponents and teams who are missing key bowlers

Yuvraj is never healthy, same can be said for Munaf Patel

Sehwag, Gambhir, Uthappa (the typical openers) are inconsisten. .I thought Jaffer has done a decent job but he's been lucky on several occasions

Dinesh Karthik is not your typical opener and doesnt score quickly

Sresanth has no discipline. Zaher Khan gets intimidated easily

Is the future bright

With Barry Bonds possibly going to crack Hammerin' Hank's record, I remember the video where Hank Aaron broke Babe Ruth's record. Two guys ran onto the field and caught up to him on Hank's way to third base to congratulate him. Did they ever get their names in the paper?

I'm an English Bloke who lives in North America, and I read an answer in this forum from a yank saying that FOOTBALL (soccer) was a communist game. Well in the U.S.A. they have a wage cap, know that don't sound like free enterprise to me. They also have no promotion or relegation system, so a team stays in the same league every year, it's a closed shop. They have a draft system, which means that the bottom teams get first choice of the best young players. Now the kicker, the young lads have no choice but to play for the team that picks them. Who are the communists?

Barry Bonds has killed baseball as far as i'm concerned. He was not the root of the problem, but he's the last nail in the coffen. I "was" a life long fan of baseball, and now i'm gone. If they even allow him to break Hank's record by way of the joice, then i'll never watch another game again. It's hard for this life long Cubs fan to walk away, but i will. True Baseball had died with the strike, but the last hope will be washed away this season. Does anyone else agree?
