My track coach said in front of the whole team that people who aren't scorers in Middle School will be in High School. He then pointed me out saying, "since Brendan is pre-pubescent and he is running just as good as some of our top girls, when he goes through puberty he will pack on muscle mass and probably run faster than most of our top guys." I AM tall and lanky (5'5" and 95lbs.) Most of the other top guys in my grade are running 5- 6 minute miles. I am the slowest on the team and i run a 7:24 mile. The second slowest boy on the team runs a 6:33. The coach does know my family, my sister ran with middle school team in 7th, and then in 8th grade she ran with High School team. When she was my age her mile time was 6:11. Does what my coach said make any sense to you? If it does could you explain? Why am I so much slower than my sister? And don't you think what he said was rude?
