Darius is/was an amazing running back. I believe he was even rated 4th! I feel bad for him and his family. I'm sure they were counting on his NFL career. Why didn't anyone draft him?

he left for a good reason - no Brady Quinn, depleted line, and would probably struggle next season.
However, he wasn't drafted due to his-
1) below-average or poor combine: he ran a very mediocre (4.5 5 I believe)
2) good RB class: Marshawn Lynch, Antonio Pittman, Michael Bush, and Adrian Peterson were all spectacular in comparison.
3) Many teams already had their RB groups filled - very few teams actually needed more RB depth - those that did either drafted other RB's or signed rookie free agents, such as walker himself.
Still, it is a pity that a projected 3rd round-5th round talent was not selected.

He was about a 3rd or 4th round pick. By then mostly all NEEDS were fulfilled by the 4th round. Nobody needed another average all around back. Every team that picked a running back that really didn't need one drafted backs that were also great receivers, good blockers, or fullbacks. Not many teams saw him being great at any of those things at the pro level.

I think he came out too early. Maybe if he stayed one more year he could get drafted. I think he is good enough to play in the NFL because he has the talent. Maybe he will get his chance with the bears.

He got signed as a free agent by the Chicago Bears...He'll have a chance to make it, even though he didn't get drafted...

nobody need running backs in the leage they all drafted them early.

he is slow and small. he has inflated stats from playing in notre dames scheme and against bad teams. he should have stayed for his senior year and is now suffereing the consequences of it.
