I look at their schedule and I see as few as eight wins, but as many as eleven or twelve.
9/9 and 12/16 - New England: Push. Obviously, the Pats are loaded on both sides of the ball, but can all of these new acquisitions put their egos aside and gel as a cohesive unit?
9/16 - at Baltimore: Winnable. The Ravens have one of the best defenses in the league, but their offense resembles something of a pop gun.
9/23 and 12/2 - Miami: Winnable. The Fins don't have a true quarterback, their primary receiver is a rookie, and the Jets can stop the run (unlike past seasons).
9/30 and 10/28 - Buffalo: Winnable; the Bills went back to the drawing board again on both offense and defense.
10/7 - at NY Giants: Winnable; the G-Men don't have a sure thing at running back and Eli just stops playing if you get in his face a lot.
10/14 - Philadelphia: Push. Get the running game going and take McNabb's big play capability out of it and we'll talk.
10/21 - at Cincinnati: Push. They gotta stop the offense for a chance to win.
11/4 - Washington: Winnable. The 'Skins have question marks at quarterback and their defense is iffy at best.
11/10 - BYE WEEK
11/18 - Pittsburgh: Winnable. The Steelers have the offense to stay in the game (if Big Ben is healthy), but they're rebuilding on defense.
11/22 - at Dallas: Push. They'll be coming off of a slobberknocker against the Steelers and a short rest may not be the best thing for them.
12/9 - Cleveland: Winnable. The Browns have been rebuilding for years and the Jets' front seven will be licking their chops as Brady Quinn will probably be starting by then.
12/23 - at Tennessee: Winnable. The Titans don't have a true number one receiver and once Vince Young is rendered containable, game over.
12/30 - Kansas City: Winnable. The Chiefs' defense is suspect at best. Plus Giants Stadium will be a smoldering crater after a Jets win as the fans will riot as a big 'eff you' in the face of Herm Edwards for skipping town.

The Jets are going to surprise a lot of people this year. They aren't going to lose many games.
I believe that O-line is the most important part of a football team. With a good O-line, you dictate the tempo of the game by running it down the other team's throat and not allowing the defense to sack your QB, thus, disallowing turnovers and big plays. The Jets rebuilt their O-line a year ago and now have a good, solid mixture of youth and veterans who will be an absolute wall this year.
When I heard that the Jets acquired Thomas Jones from the Bears for a peanuts, I was flabbergasted. He is going to have a huge impact, along with Leon Washington.
The Jets' D is solid, if not spectacular. Ellis, Robertson, Vilma and Rhodes are play-makers. And Mangini snagged two of the best defensive players in the draft in Revis and Harris.
It may sound crazy, but I think the Jets are going to win 13 games this year. Think about it, they were 10-6 last year with a mediocre running game and a flimsy O-line. Just think what they can do with a solid line, a stud running back, and a shutdown defense.
13-3 !

I think they can be at least 10-6 again. I think New England's pickups have been overrated and Buffalo and Miami probably aren't going to do anything in the division. Thomas Jones and Leon Washington will be a great running back duo, they've got a quarterback with a lot of heart, a good receiving core, good defense, and good special teams. Right now I'd say they'll go 11-5.

9-7 if they're lucky. If they're the usual Jets, expect 6-10. They have absolutely no talent and played way over their heads last year.
They got blown out by non-playoff teams like Jax 41-0, the Bills (at home) and the Browns. I mean Come On!!!
The Bills was the big game they could have had the AFC East in hand by winning out. They blew out. They choked, they always choke.
