My wife and I are going to purchase bikes for us in the near future. We really know nothing about bicycles, other than how to ride them, and was hoping someone could give us some good advice about brands and what to look for. We want them to last for a long time!

We'll mostly be riding paved streets/trails, but sometimes we may have a dirt trail we're on.

Can someone help?

I have tried 4 different types and I have spilled with all of them. I need a shoe that I won't fall with when I step on ice or wet floors, and is rugged for stepping over mounds of snow and through slushy sidewalks I am asking alot for it to look fashionable, good enough to wear to the office

I am discusted when I read the blogs on yahoo. I read that Dirk is a choke artist and Kobe Bryant is a horrible player. Then I ready that Steve Nash never chokes even though he has never made it to the finals and that Shaq is still the most dominant player in the NBA. Why is it so damn hard to say that I do not like Dirk, but he is a great player. Why cant anyone say how good of a player Kobe is but still not like them. Real NBA fans look at the game, the stats, the untanagblies. When someone says that Dirk is a choke artists and Nash is the best that has ever been, an NBA fan should reply that Dirk has gotten farther than Nash has in the playoffs and has a better record this year. How about the two other times that Dirk has beaten the Suns this year. Kobe Bryant has 3 rings, and has All Star MVP's, scoring titles, he's done it all. But people say he sucks. People should love their teams, but cant NBA fans look past what they like anymore. In the past, Jordan respected Bird??

I've been hearing and getting many reports that Putz's elbow is actually NOT ok,and the M's are keeping it quiet as they search for a backup possibly Benitez from The Giants.I already have Fuentes and Chad Cordero for closers so I decided to dump Putz for a much needed 5 tool outfielder with huge upside(in my opinion) prior to Putz's value dropping if and when it is determined his injury is not so minor.I play in a 5x5 12 team roto league.

Stan Musial was better than Mantle, or Ty Cobb in numbers. The only reason Stan Musial does'nt get the recognition is because he did'nt play for a New York or a Los Angeles. But had he played for NY or LA his name would be bigger than Mantle, Cobb, Babe, Gehrig, etc..But because St. Louis is a small city, players don't get the recognition they deserve as the ones on the coasts. Mark my words, Albert Pujols is on his way to creating Stan Musial like numbers, and by far, Stan Musial is one of the greatest players in baseball history ( better than A-Rod, Ortiz, Ramirez,etc.). Before you go responding to this, get your facts straight. I don't want opinions, just facts. And Santana is a pitcher (the best in the game right now). Barry Bonds fell apart since the roids allegations. A-rod is looking for a new house. Ortiz is NOT consistent and clutch. I'm surprised nobody mentioned Derek Lee as far as defense but he's not solid. Think and do your research before you react. Albert Pujols #1!

he wasn't even really talked about in the mvp race in dallas, but when he joins the run a gun style of the suns, his stats inflated by 3 in points and 2 in assists, and bam mvp.
the suns improved dramatically that year, but thats because they got a whole new roster. suddenly sports writers saw that the suns we're hot this season, and tryed to find a reason why. it was very ones contributions on the team that really was the reason.( nash and co lost to the iverson-webberless 76ers this season bc marion was out). An mvp should also carry a team when needbe as well as help it. With just 1 guy like marion or amare out of the lineup, nash's suns would flop. but because the sports writers wanted to pick 1 person as the reason the suns were so hot, they saw the intentional(he said so him self) flashy passes of nash (his assist/turnover ratiois not good) and decided he should be the reason. Suddenly, all those sports writers in canada who have votes on MVP for the NBA, got all excited.

I've been doing Wing Chun for a few years now and just when I think I'm starting to get good I'll spar with my instructor and he beats me effortlessly. I always get so discouraged when I spar with him because he can beat me absent-mindedly while carrying on a conversation with someone. No matter how much I practice or how hard I try, I can't come close to matching him. I do the forms every day, but it seems like I could practice for ten years and I still not be able to match him. Other than the forms, what else can I do to improve my Wing Chun skills? Anyone have any ideas?
