They have a good as chance as any body to win that division. and any thing can happen in the post season with a few good pitching outings.

i may be mildly taken aback. they're a super team, yet their time is in years yet to come again. they have not got the overwhleming presence interior the NL East because of the fact the Mets and Braves do. of course, the NL is a weaker league all at the same time than the AL, and while you're no longer the very ultimate interior the NL it incredibly is a protracted shot you have of project to win the international series. Ryan Howard has created a marvelous type of hype, yet he can no longer lead the Phillies to the international series. He would have Chase Utley, Jimmy Rollins, Pat Burrell, etc. yet, call 5 good pitchers that would carry that team while they do no longer look to be up at bat. The Mets are at present having some pitching themes, and that's their substantial concern, as with maximum MLB communities, yet they generated, i think, the main run help or almost the main run help interior the MLB to assist their pitchers. vast apple Mets final WS win 1986 final WS visual charm 2000 next WS win 2007 METS '07

It seems to me many people have forgotten about the A's.They were the 2nd best team in the American league last year and are good even without Zito.I had originally predicted them to win the world series but looking at other teams I've backed off on that.I think the A's will win the west and make it to the ALCS.As for how I would react,I would not be the least bit surprised.

I'm a cardinals fan so i can't fully say that i want them to win. but if any american league won i'd want it to be the A's. I like the feeling I get when i watch there games. It's always been a bunch of young guys and some journey men playing baseball hard and the right way(except for giambi, and the bash brothers) they are truly the majors farm league. there young guys don't dissapoint and then get all kinds of money anywhere else. giambi, zito, big mac, the list goes on and on. so i guess what i am trying to say is i wouldn't care as long as they didn't beat st. louis

I think it would be unlikely. There are so many other teams which could be competitive in the AL. Minnesota, Detroit, Chicago, Cleveland, Boston, and New York all have a shot. The AL West is clearly the weakest division in the AL and the A's could win another AL West title, but I doubt that they will make the World Series.

I would be ecstatic. I love the A's. If they won the World Series that would prove that money doesn't buy the best players. The A's have one of the lowest payrolls in MLB and yet they're still right there in the hunt for the playoffs every year. Yankees suck!!

I'd be very surprised. I think with Zito gone, Bobby Crosby still trying to fight back and Frank Thomas leaving for Toronto, its going to be very tough for them.

Well it could happen unless they play Cincinnatti Reds then I could smell another sweep like the one in 90
