I need good shoes/boots to battle the snow and ice on treacherous sidewalks?

I have tried 4 different types and I have spilled with all of them. I need a shoe that I won't fall with when I step on ice or wet floors, and is rugged for stepping over mounds of snow and through slushy sidewalks I am asking alot for it to look fashionable, good enough to wear to the office

Any type of hiking boot should be ok. Also trainer/ walking boot type things are really comfortable and look good as well check out the Nike ACG range. other brands to look for are Salomon and Merrel.
