I’m not a huge soccer fan but did watch as much of the world Cup last year as I could with some interest. I was wondering why there isn’t a situation where the top team in the English Premier league doesn’t pay the best team in the Spanish or German league in a playoff to have just one champion of Europe? Kind of a scenario that matches Real Madrid vs Manchester United.
Maybe they have played in the past in an exhibition or “friendly” game but to me, this would create a “super bowl” type game that would be HUGE!

If I am wrong and this is the current format for the playoffs, please excuse my ignorance and let me know when they play because I will love to follow the sport more (it’s beats Nascar)

There is no contest. I believe you would have to go very far down the men's list before you would find a player that could not beat the top-ranked woman player. For example, the 200th ranked male could easily beat the world number one woman. It may even go down to 500th ranked. Thoughts?

personally i belive the Detroit Redwings will come off a victory to the western confrence. Nasvhille, being their biggest competitor in the confrence are fierce and tough, but are able to be beaten and especailly by the redwings. Anahiem and Vancouver still have a chance but do not have what it takes i believe to do it. The sharks have no chance either!
on a side note i am a huge detroit wings fan, but take in consideration of other teams, but i believe this years stanly cup winner is gonna be the wings when they play Buffalo in the Championship!
