First off... Great Outfield.

Vlad, Dye, Ordonez AND Swisher too. Love it. Morneau and Jeter also nice offensive players, and Jeff Kent could be a great value pick... I like Piazza too at C. Not a big Freddy Sanchez fan tho. Especially at 3rd. I think you probably should have taken a chance on an Alex Gordon type player here. If Freddy's AVG falls, he is useless. (If you had a better 3B I would drule over your offense!!)...
Offense= A-

Love Kazmir, Bedard and K-Rod. Hoffman pretty solid. Not a Verlander fan at all tho. (Poor K/9 and struggled post all star break.) Liriano is useless this year and judging by the fact he is on your opening roster you probably picked too high!! Mussina is solid as well. Otsuka could be great if Gagne is injured again. Rogers, Colon and Mulder are all players I wouldn't draft.
Pitching= C+

The good news is you can usually find quality pitching off the waiver wire (ala Jered Weaver, Cole Hamels, Otsuka, Saito, etc. last season) so just be on the lookout and you'll be fine.

Overall= B+

I always like to come out with a strong offense and then pick up pitching along the way. You seem to be on the same path and I think your team will be successful doing it.

Good Luck this Season.

Your pitching staff has too much age in it's most consistent pitchers, you need more stable stat producers, plus Liriano is out the entire season.

As far as hitting, i'm not a piazza fan, i'd rather have russell martin from the dodgers as my catcher, who is usually drafted below Piazza in most yahoo! drafts btw. Also not a big Jeff Kent fan.. it's like having Richie Sexson as your 1B when there's sooo many other more talented players you can have at the position.

The rest of your infield is great drafting though.. much consistentcy in Jeter & Sanchez, and i just love Morneau after last season, very young hitter.. huge upside. Outfielders are solid to compete in any league as long as Vlad stays healty, but u might try to move both Vlad & Dye for possibly a V. Wells & Andruw Jones type of combo.

Your team may be weak at 2B because Kent is so old. Freddy at third may not be such a good thing, but who knows? Colon and Mulder are coming off bad seasons so they are big risks. Rogers is getting old. Liriano isn't playing this year, so unless you're in a keeper league you're screwed. Besides that it looks like a third place team, maybe second if the potential in the young guys shines through.

Not bad, depending on the number of teams in the league. Still, it's a very risky line-up. You have a lot of old and injury prone hitters, so be prepared to work the Free Agent pool aggressively. You clearly went really young with pitchers. I can guarantee that between Bedard, Rogers and Colon, one will be a bust, either by his bad starts or an injury.

you rinfield is magnificent, and your OF has 2 of the best 3 in the sport. in the previous each and every little thing examine i figured this replaced into in simple terms yet another man or woman drawing near right here witha afke baseball team to coach hwo superb they are ( you already know , people who say they have pujols,arod, reyes, utley,vlad,soriano, beltran,johan,peavy,verlander, oswalt and halladay). I very almost closed the internet site, untill i observed the pitching. Then i found out its a real team ( although you cant have better than 10 communities on your league). Colon is rubbish and he has no commerce fee at this element in the season.. i could unload him, Biggio(additionally no fee) and %. up 2 first rate pitchers. identity commerce Beckett and Magglio for Johan and a first rate hitter to boost up your pitcher. Your extra in hitting is sturdy yet at this element in the season you are able to think of roughly pitchging too. Saves is in simple terms one stat, and Franky could shop you afloat untill fuentes comes back. All in all, you have have been given a pair of seven/10. sturdy luck something of the season. playstation : having 3 beginning pitchers on the comparable team is under no circumstances a solid element.

How many people are in your league? Nice pick on Piazza, he might end up being a very nice sleeper pick! If its a 12 team league your team is going to be seeded in the top 2!

Very solid. You've got a good offense, a couple of stud closers, the only thing you're missing is a true ace. But Kazmir could be that, if he can stay healthy.

If you picked 12th it's OK.
Unless you are in a keeper league you might want to get rid of Liriano, he won't pitch until at least April of 2008.

ok, piazza, morneau, sanchez, jeter, guerrero, dye, kazmir, verlander, krod, hoffman, otsuka, mussina, bedard, rogers, were all good picks.

i dont like kent (getting old, lack of power recently), magglio (he had one good year, likely wont repeat), swisher (sucked after he started hot), a. gonzalez (he looked good, but got lucky), lopez (sucked after good start), liriano (injured), colon (injured), mulder (sucked last year). u have a lot of very good players and a lot of very bad picks. overall B-. i expect you to finish right in the middle of your league, or upper-middle
