I only saw the third period on and it was entertaining. But I can't speak for how good the game was in comparison to others. The two that stand out in my mind regarding Ottawa playing were the games again Calgary and Edmonton. Esp Calgary where it was back and forth action from the first drop of the puck and throughout the game.

Hopefully Drury is ok, you never want to see a guy get injured -- opposing team or not. BUT it was a clean hit. Drury should stop idolizing his shots and pay attention. PS. Drury should also have had his hemlet on properly -- that is how he got cut. In my mind, that should be a 2 min minor for illegal use of equipment (like a jersey not being tied down) -- its dangerous for the player. We all saw what happened with Brashear/McSorley -- his helmet wasn't on correctly and after it fell off (while he was falling) he hit his head on bare ice.

Nevertheless, should be a great game Saturday.

I am also upset with the decision (I was even able to and did watch the broadcast on CBC), but at the same time, I don't blame NBC for doing it, because they probably had a contractural obligation to cut to the Preakness Stakes exactly at 5:00pm (my proof's in the link). They did keep the game on NBC Buffalo, but they should know there were fans located in other areas than Upstate New York. I heard somewhere else that either Comcast, NBC, or both, can choose to cut their ties with the NHL this summer, and I would not be surprised if that happens, mainly because of this incident

Just saw the highlights on ESPN, WOW! I'm so proud of the Sabres and Lindy Ruff for standing up. Ruff should have pounded the Sens coach. I can't believe the reffs didn't call a penalty on that hit to Drury. If the Sens want to take out Buffalo's best man, I think on Saturday I'd have somebody take out Spezza!!!!

OMG YES! I missed everything up until after Biron and Emery went at it, and my head still nearly exploded from the awesome! So many young guys are stepping up and doing what needs to get done to keep their Sabres team in the wins column; I love the Sabres and they have become so incredible in the past few seasons that they're just a joy to watch. Besides, how can a Sabres-Sens game be anything but serious entertainment? That's one of the best emerging rivalries in the league!

It sounds like it. I didn't get to watch it because I don't have cable or a dish, but I listened to it on the radio. Man I wish I could have seen it. I am hoping someone puts it up on YouTube or something like it.

Keep your fingers crossed that Drury isn't out for any length of time. Listening to the interview with Lindy Ruff and when asked if he was going to miss any games, Ruff said, "It's a possibility." Oy vey.

The team is doing amazing, despite all the injuries.

That game had it all and I'm taking two Benedryls to get to sleep tonight---you couldn't sleep for days after that one!

I can't even begin to remember the goalies going at it. Tip to Biron---we love you in Buffalo but Emery is not someone you'd want to fight--Marty------ you're a lover not a fighter:-).

Ending it in a shootout, the trip on Vanek at the end the total crap penalty called on Briere in OT---that was a game for the records.

I am really worried about Drury, let's hope that hit doesn't leave us with his skates to fill--because they aren't fill-able. I'm really proud of the Sabs, they dug down deep and I really thought Ruff was close to taking a swing on Murray---Unreal!

Words fail me, that game was heart stopping.

OLD TIME HOCKEY, BOYS. LOVE IT.

110 penalty minutes, fighting everywhere, coaches almost fighting.

HOW HOCKEY IS SUPPOSED TO BE PLAYED!

But that hit by Niel was so out of the play the refs didnt even see it. They would've called it if it wasn't so far out of the play, they weren't expecting that.

apparently that one guy who said andrew peters always loses his fights hasn't been watching sabres in this world or was asleep or something.i am glad the sabres won. the senators should have won that game the sabres had 5 rookies playing because of injuries, that says alot for the sabres.the refs really missed that game i couldn't believe what they let the senators get away with and the lame calls they made on the sabres.it kind of makes you wander who pays their salary.lindy ruff in the post game interview said drury was alright, he took some stitches.i hope the nhl takes some action against chris neil his coach can say all he wants to but that was a late hit and that means it was a dirty hit.the ref said he didn't see it i guess just like he didn't see all the other things the senators did. maybe we all ought to pitch in and buy him some glasses.!!!!!!!!!!go sabres!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
