Now that its official,David Beckham will join the Los Angeles Galaxy during the 2007 MLS season,playing in America.He claims that he wants to make an impression on soccer in America and its youth,but many speculate that it only has to do with the $250 million dollars he'll be paid.Your thoughts on him making the jump to a much less popular league VS his career in europe?

Many people are saying the results of this year's bowl games point more strongly than ever to the need for a playoff system. But almost no one has actually suggested such a system. Some are just saying that BSU ought to get a shot at Florida. But as a BSU fan, I have to admit that I think USC's credentials are stronger, even with two losses. (One of those losses came after they beat three ranked teams in three consecutive weeks. BSU only played one ranked team in the regular season. And I think USC's bowl victory was much more convincing, if not more exciting and unexpected, than BSU's.)

Specifically, how many teams would be in the playoff? How would they be picked? When would the games be played? What would happen to the current bowl games?

For reference, here is a website with the last polls before this year's bowl games started. It's the BCS standings, but it also shows the Harris and USA Today polls.

If this kid gets out of my city he's as big a name as they come. The complete package. Hits for average,a beast on the bases,fast as lighting,SPECTACULAR defensively,has power,young---very young, unselfish, hustles on each and every play. This kid plays the game the way it is meant to be played-runs out every play-spectacular athlete-top 3 High School QB recruits in the country 5 years ago-picked a better choice. His hunger reminds me of Jeter-plays to win every time-great passion-just as good of a player-with a few edges-faster and stronger. Put him in NY and he's the new star of the show.
