I want to know how to lose 20-30lbs please help i need some good advice i have benn walkling on my treadmill for 2 days now at 3.0 miles per hr. for 2 miles . I just want to know some things to do with good results and how would I keep the weight off? PLEASE HELP

If you're heart rate isn't getting up to your cardio target heart rate range, you aren't doing anything on the treadmill that is going to decently impact your weight. If your heart rate isn't getting there, you need to raise the intensity.

To get the basic cardio training effect, you need to work up to doing your cardio activity for 20 minutes, 3 times a week, and make sure your heart rate is up in the target range. Once you get there, you can increase your time further. The more you go past 20 min, the more the calories burned to get you thru the exercise come from your fat stores.

You can shoot for 45 min- 1 hour, then see about adding in another day or two. Make sure you aren't overtraining though. If you are getting sore and need recovery time, stick with a day of rest inbetween cardio days and just work on extending your time.

Of course, you should be eating right too. You aren't going to progress with weight loss much if you are overeating or making poor food choices.

you need to manage your calorie intake. if you eat less than you burn you will lose fat. diet management is the key to quality muscle gain/tone and fat loss.

you should also include a mild weight lifting program, as the more toned your muscle gets, the more energy it needs, so the more fat you will burn just by being more toned. cardio alone is inefficient. you need diet (calorie counting), cardio, & weight training. You will not become muscular, but the shape of your body will improve through the toned muscle. you dont get good shape from just losing fat.

stabilizing the blood sugar helps too, by you having smaller yet more frequent meals.

you can work out like a monster, and yet not lose anything if you dont manage calories. also need to eat quality proteins.

Change your diet, eat smaller meals and more frequent, like 6 small meals a day, such as apples, carrots, and take vitamins also, because when you change your diet, your energy will decrease because you are exercising and burning the calories from the food intake.

Exercise and Diet management lead to a healthy body :)

You can't just walk, try weight lifting, that will burn a lot of calories. Also do cardio that isn't so slow, like running or going up stairs

Try to think about tightening your stomach when you're on your treadmill.....it not only helps with loosing weight, but it also helps with posture to. Drink lots of water. Ho, controlling your propositions of food will help to loose weight also.
