Believers always say that atheists cannot prove the non-existence of God. Please tell me what are necessary and sufficient conditions for existence - then ask yourself does God meet the requirements.

Would your religion be as fun if there was no hell?

I mean...if God got all logical n' stuff tommorow, and decided to not allow the vast majority of his own human creations to writhe in eternal agony and fire for infinite time...and...oh i don't know...decided to use his magical abracadabra God superpowers to allow all humans eternal forgiveness just to be a nice guy...oops, i mean Guy.

...IF that happened...would it sort of ruin the fun of being a right wing christian fundamentalist? I mean, imagine it; all those queers and muslims and smartypants-scientists and gothpunks and liberals would be right next to you in heaven, with a god that deemed them just as worthy of his eternal cuddleywuddleys.

Would it take away from the special feeling you get when you know that the key to Jesus' heart is short haircuts, successful stock options, damnating countercultures, and wearing incredibly wholesome christmas sweaters to astoundingly nostalgic family dinners?

just curious..

consider the consquences of "everything" and "all"
Remember also, it would be the same as today if you decided some should recieve while others should not.

I was born and raised Catholic. Most recently, I have found that my faith is beginning to weaken with the current events in the Catholic church. More importantly, the cases of child molestation and the decision of the Diocese to ignore claims of abuse. What is causing you to doubt your faith as a Catholic?

I do not understand how athiests can claim to be spiritual when they have absolutely no belief outside of science? How can you believe in a soul (spirit) if you don't believe that it is part of a higher power? The human body does not have the ability to create a non-physical essence.

Believe it or not, I am actually curious for a serious answer.

I am NOT starting a debate. Simply asking if there's a specific group and what they are called. I will not say whether or not I believe in this theory. Strictly asking what my question is...if you don't believe it...great. Good for you. Please don't post about how people who do believe it are wrong. If you do believe it, please don't start saying how it just has to be truth because there's all this evidence. I just want to know a group name. Thanks.

I don't know what to believe anymore. I am very confused. I used to be a christian and i loved God and wanted to please him in everything i do,but now i mean i am confused and worried and just i don't know. I mean i think back on my life and i wounder to myself why would God let me go through all of this at such a very young age of 13. I also read that question that said God doesn't love all of us and doesn't want all of us. That made me even more confused. Does God really care. Is God real? Does he love me and want a relationship. I really don't know what to do or believe or anything. Also at church i look around and i see all these people raising hands and worship and u can see that they have a real and true relationship with God. I want that but i just don't know how to get that and i don't know if that i am going to worship for the right reason or worshiping a true person. Can u please help me? Thanks!!!

what does the bible say about what happens once we die-what are the verses to where this is discussed or brought up?

Why do people that say that they don't believe in God feel compelled to come to see what people that believe in God are saying?

Some spend a couple of hours a day in the "religion and spirituality" section. Are they bored? Curious? Or, are they just looking for any opportunity to blaspheme te Creator that they claim does not exist.

Strange lot, these "atheists", no?

All those years at CC Costa Mesa, 3-4 services on Sudays and 1-2 every weekday, the school and the store. It's got to be one of the most profitable businesses in the Orange County. Where has all the money gone. Absolutely zero accountability in the name of God. so sad.

A. I was going to CC in Costa Mesa for years before I fell for their trap of recruiting for dollars and not God.

B. I took a look at the website and after some recommendations and I still see this church being a cash cow in the name of God. This is from one of the schools- keep an eye on discount rate...

"The tuition rates for the 2007-2008 school year will be:

* Grades K-6: $4,310
* Grades 7-8: $4,560
* Grades 9-12: $6,100
* All Day Kindergarten: $7,000

Tuition is payable in 10 monthly payments, due the first of each month from August through May.
Discounts:

Multiple child discounts are:
2nd student: $500 discount
3rd student: $1,000 discount
4th student on: no tuition"

isn't God great?

I wonder if Jesus is totally amused the way a parent laughs when their child playfully imitates them, or does He shake his head sadly and feel that the media is making a mockery of Him.

Please don't flame. Just curious what people think. I'm not sure. I could see Him doing either...

Christians are fond of saying that it was necessary for God to create a place for evildoers.

But in the US, we incarcerate lawbreakers, but they still get three square meals, sunshine, showers, TV, cigarettes, etc, and when they have paid their due, they are released.

NOT GOD'S HELL!

This is what you get for not believing...

This is what your Bible says about Hell... This is what happens to people who do not wish to believe in a magic superhero who is invisible:

Weeping and gnashing of teeth
Where the fire is never quenched
The torment of their sorrows ascendeth up forever and ever
Fire and brimstone
Outer Darkness
A place of torment
