Would your religion be as fun if there was no hell?

I mean...if God got all logical n' stuff tommorow, and decided to not allow the vast majority of his own human creations to writhe in eternal agony and fire for infinite time...and...oh i don't know...decided to use his magical abracadabra God superpowers to allow all humans eternal forgiveness just to be a nice guy...oops, i mean Guy.

...IF that happened...would it sort of ruin the fun of being a right wing christian fundamentalist? I mean, imagine it; all those queers and muslims and smartypants-scientists and gothpunks and liberals would be right next to you in heaven, with a god that deemed them just as worthy of his eternal cuddleywuddleys.

Would it take away from the special feeling you get when you know that the key to Jesus' heart is short haircuts, successful stock options, damnating countercultures, and wearing incredibly wholesome christmas sweaters to astoundingly nostalgic family dinners?

just curious..

okay, first of all i don't own a single incredibly wholesome Christmas sweater. it never gets cold enough where i live for a sweater. second, my son's hair is pretty long (i hear about him needing a haircut all the time). third, yes i do own stocks. so do a lot of non-Christians! "damnating" countercultures? is there such a word as "damnating"? The "fun" factor of my religion? do you have no life? seriously, what is your question? the key to Jesus' heart is that we accept Him into our own. nimrod. oh, that wasn't very Christian of me. will you settle for a condescending look? i don't think i have ever been pigeon holed so poorly.
right wing Christian

oh yes, and i don't take joy in ANYONE going to hell.

First off, we don't delight in people going to hell. Some people seem to delight in going to hell themselves, but that is a different matter. As for the existance of hell, it doesn't matter to me. I'm going to Heaven, as are all christians.

We already have the key to Jesus' heart.....we just have to accept it, and let him into our lives. and if Jesus did that, then that would defeat the whole purpose of his Crucifixion wouldn't it.

well, you're asking for self honesty from Fundies so i must assume you're quite religious and believe in miracles.

PS. for the life of me i can't see what "evil" Ashton reads into this question/rant. fer sure the query gets rather poetic in a funny way but it's a valid question.

would Christian's exclusivity club in the sky still be blissful if they had to share it with everyone they've been consigning to hell? yep... it's a valid query.
