When someone kills someone else it is a sin, is that the same for people in the army?

I was curious as killing someone is a sin, generally is in any culture, however when we look at events like Iraq for instance many of the US troops I believe are Christian, and have more than likely killed someone in combat.
How do people feel about this? is killing right under any circumstance?

Why do people ignore some chunks of biblical prophesy yet push others as fact?

For example, this sharply contradicts all of Revelations.

"Immediately after the tribulation of those days, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from the sky, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. And then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming upon the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And he will send out his angels with a trumpet blast, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other. "Learn a lesson from the fig tree. When its branch becomes tender and sprouts leaves, you know that summer is near. In the same way, when you see all these things, know that he is near, at the gates. Amen, I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things have taken place. Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away. (Matthew 24:29-35)

Is there a Bible verse that basically says "Leave the Non-Believers Alone"?

I have heard it was in the Bible, but can not find it. Something about, "Tell them about God, but if they reject it, do not waste your time on them", something along those lines.

Why are some atheists here using the Bible to try and prove a point?

I've already seen at least 4 questions this morning posed by supposed atheists who are trying to use scripture to "prove" their point. It's a small percentage to be sure but come one people! If your claiming something written in the Bible is proof then your calling it fact. I'm so confused.

Is this proof Jesus was a false prophet?

Talking about his second coming he said this. Notice the last part in particular--

"For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works. Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom." Matthew 16:27-28

So according to Jesus, some of those standing there listening to him would still be alive at the second coming. Well, unless there are some two thousand year old people still here waiting on him, this prophecy obviously did NOT come to pass.

Isn't this the test of a false prophet in the Bible? "When a prophet speaketh in the name of the LORD, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him." Deuteronomy 18:22

About Jesus's Returning?

A friend was telling me of how Jesus would come back for us ; but he told me that Jesus would prepare a plae for us and I don't know how long but we're going to live back on Earth but not like the way it is now and that he is going to do something to Satan I don't understand completely explain to me what he meant. I'm scared of dying. do i have to?

It's Unthinkable many stars, and one star is a solar system, in a solar system it can be really many planets. It's almost impossible that aliens doesnt exist... then... do they have tha same god and religions as we have on earth? its most likely Not. That means it is a little chance our religions are right.. that means nothing happens when i die.. i ceace to exist!! I CAN'T CEASE TO EXIST. Thinking about it is making me CRAZYYY... can anyone prove to me god exist please!!!
