That's what I gathered from my last question. So.. is this how it works with most sins, then? Or just pride?

LOL.

So:

Worshipping another god is okay, as long as you're not TOO devout in it.

Lusting is okay, as long as you're not TOO lustful.

Sex before marriage is okay, as long as it's not TOO good.

Working on Sunday is okay, as long as you don't work TOO hard.

Murder is okay, as long as you're not a MASS murderer or anything like that.

etc..

According to the Bible, you have to be proud of God for giving you the skill to make the accomplishment, but it is a sin to be prideful of yourself because you didn't create you or give yourself your inherent talents.

I gather that the sin of pride is interpreted as someone who is boastful or the things he or she may have. For Instance: Being proud of yourself for graduating from College is not a sin. Making others feel like less of a person because you have attended college is prideful and is a sin.

A sin is a morally wrong act. Of course many of us have different views regarding what is and is not morall. If you believe in the Bible:

In Proverbs 6:16 – 19, it is stated that "(16) These six things doth the Lord hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him:" (quotes from "King James Version (KJV)" translation of the Bible).

Number one on this list is "A proud look" (v17).

My personally belief is that a little pride wont harm you, but pride leading to arrogance will harm you, and others.

Pride isn't a sin. Swearing isn't a sin. Nudity isn't a sin. Hating your parents isn't a sin. There isn't such thing as sin. There isn't a sky daddy to judge you. But there is such thing as right or wrong. We, society, decides what's right or wrong. We're taught that by our parents and those we interact with.
Be proud; be happy and don't worry about sinning it's a useless guilt trip imposed on you by those who want to control you.

Pride is a sin, no matter what. Pride puts what you are proud of in front of God. Thou shalt have no other gods before ME. It's a commandment, meant to be obeyed.

Modest self-respect is healthy.
Thinking you are better than others is not.
Moderation in all things is the watchword.

Having pride in ones appearance is one thing, having pride in your life accomplishments is fine also.
But being so full of pride that you think you are better than anyone else is foolish and wrong.
