For example, this sharply contradicts all of Revelations.

"Immediately after the tribulation of those days, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from the sky, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. And then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming upon the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And he will send out his angels with a trumpet blast, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other. "Learn a lesson from the fig tree. When its branch becomes tender and sprouts leaves, you know that summer is near. In the same way, when you see all these things, know that he is near, at the gates. Amen, I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things have taken place. Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away. (Matthew 24:29-35)

The verses I supplied are a quote from Jesus. He is saying that before the current living generation is dead he will return.

I have to agree with those who ask "in way way does this passage contradict Revelation?" Indeed, judging from your question, it seems clear that

a) You have made a wholly unsupportable statement. The first verse, for example
http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=rev%201;&version=49;
is clearly not contradicted by this passage.

b) You are so unfamiliar with the book of Revelation that you do not even know its proper designation

c) For some reason, you make *no* attempt whatsoever to support your claim - not even the slightest

God is not IN the program of Biblical Prophecy (Judaism)today....NEWS FLASH! Prophecy is Gods program with the Nation Israel, and God has SET ASIDE that program temporarily to usher in the dispensation of the GRACE of God/ ie: Christianity.

You will find instructions given to we who are the church which is His BODY only in the Pauline epistles; Romans thru Philemon.

Gen thru Acts= God dealing with the Nation Israel/law of Moses/Prophecy

Romans thru Philemon= God changes programs and is dealing with building a body containing jew and gentile/GRACE/Gods MYSTERY program revealed

Hebrews thru Rev= God resumes His program with Israel and fulfils the promises made to her/back to the law of Moses/Prophecy

Times PAST, But NOW , and Ages to Come are the divisions God makes in His Word, and your Bible is even laid out this way.

Times PAST and Ages to Come are where God deals with the Nation Israel ALONE.

But NOW is where God is dealing with the church which is His Body, and the mystery truths given to Paul for we who are saved in this dispensation of GRACE.

Until you see these divisions and stop mixing the programs, you will have trouble understanding Gods purpose and plan for today. Its difficult to cooperate with God when you dont know what program He is in.

We are not saved by the gospel found in the prophetic books today. We are saved by the "preaching of Jesus Christ ACCORDING TO the REVELaTION of the MYSTERY which was KEPT SECRET since the world began..." Rom. 16:25

Today, we are to join God in HIS goal "of making ALL men SEE what IS the fellowship of the MYSTERY..." Eph 3:9

Do you know what the mystery truths ARE that God has entrusted us with? If not, come visit www.graceteacher.com and SEE for yourself the differences between the two programs in our many studies provided.

Matthew in no way contradicts Rev. In both cases it warns of what is to come. How you came to that conclusion is beyond me.

The number of beliefs held, even among those of a same core belief, is massive. Therefore chunks of biblical prophesy are ignored in order to support beliefs. The bible is not often looked to for answers, but for support in previous beliefs.

What can't be ignored, dear one, is that you've taken scripture out of context. That changes it's meaning.

Try reading the entire chapters you took them out of, then you will have a bit more knowledge of that which you speak.

God bless and happy new year!

We should learn from all the scriptures. We are not required to follow the law now, but should follow the ten commandments.
