I am curious, if there was a GOD, in your mind what would HIS or HER 2 most important commandments be?

Oh I feel a testimony coming on today. Hello world. I am
feeling a little bit under the weather this fine winter morn.....
But in rather good spirits though. It is the holiday season,
and we should all be thankful, to see this wonderful time
of year once again. Amen. Now.... From whence I was
a small child I saw many miracles. One being when I was
sick with worms, and asthma. I noticed that the more
people prayed for me, I became well. And I did.
I can still see them standing over me, at the alter.
My pastor, and friends, and family. And I got healed,
from the hands of the enemy. So, to believers or non
believers. Do you have a story of a miracle ? Or what
you deem to be a miraculous event ? Best answer wins. ~~~

Those who might as well just call me a piece of crap, judge not for with what judgment you judge, you shall be judged.

Write your age after your answer, remember tell me why or why not I'm going to hell?

What do you think of the idea that the bible was merely an attempt to construct a completely defensible lie/story. During the time of its authoring, scholars were always trying to do things like square the circle, construct unbreakable codes, and anything else that seemed to challenge the mind.

It could have them spawned something entirely different....the religions that we know today?

Do you consider history, archaeology, art, patrology, liturgical tradition, etymology, paleography, or early Christian writings?

For example, would the writings of the Fathers of the Church help us understand the Gospel as preached to early Christians?

I've looked at the most common answers:
1) Common sense. But what is that and where does it come from? Is the source worthy of being obeyed?
2) Education. I must have been absent that day. Is that under mathematics or literature?
3) Instilled by parents. Where did the parents get it and how did they instill it? If they're the paragons, do you still place yourself under their authority?
4) From evolution. Christians hear complaints about moral teachings from thousands of years ago; Evolution is a mindless process from millions of years ago; why is it worthy of obedience?
5) It's a social thing. Okay, but how is that different from social customs and tradition? Should we not put society norms to the test of reason?
6) Conscience. See common sense.

'In the last days, God says,
I will pour out my Spirit on all people.
Your sons and daughters will prophesy,
your young men will see visions,
your old men will dream dreams.

What does this mean? Any way

I have. The nursing home where I have worked for 5 years has decided that they are not paying us until 9:00am Christmas Eve and that we must attend a mandatory meeting that morning. I work the night before and that night from 10:00pm-6:00am. They however get their checks direct deposit and we cannot. It is the first time they have paid us on Christmas Eve and it is well known that our checks are in well before. Who has been the grinch for you this year?

While there is no evidence for elves or aliens, it seems most of us are "atheistic" toward elves and "agnostic" toward aliens.

What is the difference?

Does the deistic definition of God fall in the elf or alien category?

Those who go gung-ho for the evolutionary origin of man usually deny the existence of God as the Absolute Truth. But when they expunge higher realization from their consciousness, how in the world do they manage to see man as beholden only to some natural origin and order?

Are they not trying to substitute one "absolute" (which they claim does not exist) for another ?

Just look at the absurd contradiction and monumental ego behind that statement:

"There is no Absolute Truth."

What say you all ?

belief?

There is only one God, and Jesus was a highly inspired man whose beliefs are worthy of respect and admiration.

God is found in three forms: father, son, and holy spirit.

Jesus was a fraud who deserves no respect.

There is no God whatsoever.

Believing the KJV is NOT a cult but believers in Christ who believe that the King James Version of the bible is superior in accuracy to copyrighted paraphrases currently being marketed. Most have been raised to memorize the beautiful Elizabethan language and do not want to waste time relearning the now familiar bible verses. Others have studied long and hard about how different versions were translated and want to have an accurate translation of the Word of God.
We do not worship the bible. The bible is not kissed, bowed to or prayed to. The scriptures are the words of the God we love.
We reject all other bibles because there can only be ONE word of God. While many churches have forsaken reading the bible out loud because of the different wording of different versions, KJVO churches often read the bible together. This is only possible if you share the same book. Why do some criticise the KJV and no ohter version? This just cements in my mind that the KJV is the right bible for me

Do you accept the Seventh-day Adventist interpretation which views it as the Seventh-day Sabbath?

The view held by Seventh-day Sabbathkeeping churches, including Seventh-day Adventists, maintains that the Lord's day of Revelation 1:10 designates the seventh-day Sabbath. This conclusion is based on the fact that Christ declared himself to be "Lord even of the Sabbath"(Mark 2:28).

Historically, Seventh-day Adventists have interpreted the "Lord's day" of Revelation 1:10 as a reference to the Seventh-day Sabbath which is Saturday and not Sunday. Sunday is the first day of the week.

The Lord's day is the Seventh-day, the Sabbath of Creation. The Sabbath was observed by Jesus Christ. The Sabbath was as sacredly observed by John on Patmos as when he was preaching to the people in the towns and cities of Judea.

Sunday observance did not begin until A.D. 117-138), under Emperor Hadrian. The Sabbath is the Lord's Day. The Sabbath was all John knew when he wrote Revelation.

For all you atheists i don't understand. how can you live life thinking there is nothing to look forward to? that there is no hope for after this life ends. this puzzles me to no end. i know that it would be impossilbe to not believe in a god who loves us. and how do you not believe in anything, that in and of itself is a belief.

The ministry of the Holy Spirit is a serious issue in the church today.

1. People need to hear God in their lives.

2. People need to learn how to communicate with God.

3. People need to learn to discern God's voice from another voice.

Telling people to"open their bibles and read" is not showing them how to walk with God.

Rev 3:20 Behold I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him and he with Me.
