...What domino effect would this have on other traditional Christian beliefs? Please do not respond to this question with reasons why this belief is right or wrong...I simply want to know if there is dogmatic harm done if someone believed that hell was a place or form of punishment that ultimately (some varying time period after judgement) results in complete death, extinction, annihilation. What harm is done with this belief IF it could be established that this belief still holds to the accuracy of Biblical teaching? What other doctrines does this effect if any? That may be a big if, but any help to this question would be appreciated.

If so, what becomes of the on-going debate about free-will? Because if they had full knowledge of G&E (which obviously would've told them NOT to disobey God's command to NOT eat from the tree of knowledge of G&E), and chose to disobey God anyway, freewill becomes a moot point, doesn't it? They would then become responsible solely for their actions w/o benefit of freewill, yes?

Please bear in mind that I just got off a 15 hour shift and am somewhat tired at this point. If my question is not, in your opinion, worded correctly please overlook my shortcoming as best you can and reword it for yourselves. Thank-you.

I realize this question has been asked before, but I'm hoping to get answers from people who have not answered before, or who have gained additional knowledge since answering before.

A friend asked me this question yesterday. She asked her husband and he said he didn't know. My answer was, Sort of. We believe that during the Second Coming the City of Enoch will return with those who were "taken up" originally. They will eventually take with them others who are worthy, but there will still be good people on the earth after this happens. It is my understanding that the Christians who do believe in the rapture believe that ALL the good people will be taken up, and that those who are left behind are therefore not good. It doesn't make sense to me that God would handle it that way.

What do you think? Do we believe in the rapture? Only a Mormon answer will be picked as Best Answer, if that matters to you. Those who can be respectful are welcome to answer as well.

The website http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Islamic_terrorism defines "Islamic terrorism" as:

"terrorism - an act of violence targeting non-combatants - perpetrated by a person or group identifiably Islamic, and/or to further the cause of Islamism as determined by the acts' perpetrators and supporters."

It says that Hamas practices "Islamic terrorism," but I (an American member of no organized religion) thought that Hamas' aim was the retrieval of the land that they feel was taken from them.

Of all of the violence that practitioners of Islam are involved in on the earth, how much of it do you say is BECAUSE those that they are fighting against don't declare themselves to be Muslims?

I've seen the verses about gay sex, but I'm wondering if the Bible says anywhere that gay marriage is wrong.

Is there a verse somewhere that says that two mothers or two fathers raising a child is an abomination?

Why were the astrologers able to communicate with the stars to find where Jesus was and present him the gifts? Matthew 2:7-10, "Then Herod secretly summoned the astrologers and carefully ascertained from them the time of the star’s appearing; 8 and, when sending them to Beth′le·hem, he said: “Go make a careful search for the young child, and when YOU have found it report back to me, that I too may go and do it obeisance.” 9 When they had heard the king, they went their way; and, look! the star they had seen [when they were] in the east went ahead of them, until it came to a stop above where the young child was. 10 On seeing the star they rejoiced very much indeed"

Why did God warn us against going to magic practicing priests and fortune tellers if they weren't real? You mean to say God can't distinguish between trickery or "Illusion" and real magical powers?
