What does the Bible say?

Did Mary regret losing her virginity and if she had to do it all over she would have said no to God and no to her husband, Carpenter Joseph?

the same with seasons greetings with Merry CHRISTmas under it in big green letters. Now I am not against Christmas or saying Merry Christmas. I defend people's right to say it. But are there really people out there who are critisizing OTHERS right to say Happy Holidays? What if they don't celebrate Christmas, they celebrate Hanukkah and are just trying to be nice? Are there Christian out there who really think that others don't have a right to THIER holiday in December too?
That sign made me really regret sticking up for Christians on this. It also made me sort of sad. Talk about sucking the joy and goodwill out of the holiday.

I find myself wondering when time started. I know that time a measurement, but where did it come from? When did time begin? Was there anything in existance before time began?
I believe in God, and I believe in science...but with both, I am having difficulty grasping time. In both backgrounds there was a moment when everything started,,,,but before that moment, what was there?

What if they SUCK? What if we have more sense than them? What if they've done horrible atrocities to us?

Isn't it a viable option to disown them, or ship them off to a nursing home?

Do you think the campaign could just be a big cover up or even a double agenda for the Church of Latter Day saints to go and spead their ideology?

I mean, isn't He the reason we have xmas in the first place? I am starting to wonder if Santa Claus actually ruined Xmas, as it is turning into more of a national festival more of a religious one these days, with Santa at the centre of it all.

Don't get me wrong, I love Xmas, and I love recieving gifts from 'Father Christmas', and I love playing him and seeing the excitement on the kids faces as they try to force themselves to sleep in anticipation of the following morning.

But, the emphasis on Nativity plays at schools and the like seems at the very bottom of peoples adjenda, if at all on it. Not many young kids even know why we celebrate Xmas, and it just doesnt seem right.

We all seem to be drifting away from religion at the minute, but we will keep the festivals, making me wonder who the real winners of xmas are, the churches, or the toy shops?

With such things as evolution, the big bang, and the age of the earth, MOST scientist agree on certain facts and/or theories that help explain the natural laws of the universe.
I would just like to know that, why dont MOST believers support scientist findings and explantions.

As I said in an earlier question, I'm reading Cunningham's Solitary Guide and he blithely pops this statement in:

"Magic is a method whereby individuals under none but self-determined predestination take control of their lives."

He then totally ignores this statement and continues on. What I'm asking is does this mean that at some point we have already decided the general path our lives will take, whether we realise it or not, and magic is a tool for us to use to stay on that path? Or have I totally misread his meaning? It's quite a statement to just drop in there and then ignore. :)

They lived on this earth for about 160 million years and you just seem to ignore it when it comes to the bible. Who do you think created the dinosaurs and all the animals that lived before them? What would make God leave that out of the bible? They're aren't insignificant, even their death is important to us because it changed the earth to make it what it is today, livable for humans.

Do you think it's logical? Do you think it's completely ridiculous?

And if you're a Pantheist, what is the extent of your belief? Is it simply that God is the Universe itself, and/or God is not a conscious being, and/or that we should Worship nature?

Here in Texas I see that fish sign used in advertisements in the paper and the yellow pages all the time. Even when I was a christian it made me uncomfortable. I always wondered if maybe they were using it just to get christians to chose them instead of another business. I believe strongly in free speech, so I would never want to forbid that. What do you think?
