That is a very good question!!
apparantly they think they have a right to do that.
Some don't believe in using the birth control methods, yet they think that ending a human life is acceptable!
they should be considered criminals since they are killing a human being.

Murder of unwanted babies is not allowed.

But then abortion, at the moment, is not murder.

Murder is a legal definition of a type of killing.

Abortion is allowed because:
fetuses below a certain level of development are just a lump of flesh. Why do people 'abort' their appendixes, just because it has an infection. Often surgeons will 'murder' an appendix for no reason other than they are there. Why is this allowed?

No form of birth control is 100% effective.

We do not force birth control onto all the people that should probably be using it. Also stupid abstinence-only 'education' programs have been shown to be not only ineffective, but actually detrimental from 'we-think-you should-not,-but-if-you-do-use-a-condom-for-Pete's-sake' programs.

Until the fetus is viable outside the woman's body it is deemed to be part of that woman's body, to do with as she sees fit.

Abortion is legal in a limited form in the US. Hence it is not murder - deliberate unlawful killing. If you do not like the law then you do not have to use it. No one should ever be forced into an abortion.

If you feel it is morally wrong, then that is fine too, you are entitled to your opinion and are allowed to petition to have the law changed. Just do not expect everyone to believe as you do.

because they do not call it murder- they call it choice. Love this question- one thing however needs to be said here, I know women that are on B/C and still get pregnant- and they still abort- so wouldn't women start to realize that if they got pregnant on B/C that it really was meant to be, and that only God can create a baby? The best prevention by the way is abstinence, so abortion would never have to be considered. In the case of rape and the health of the mom- did you know that only about 2% of abortions are done for this reason-and there are 4,000 a day in USA alone. And one more thing, there are no unwanted babies- God created each for His purpose, and there are millions of couples waiting to adopt a child, just imagine that the waiting time would be so much less, if those 4,000 babies had been placed adoption. I am adopted and have 2 adopted kids, and we are very thankful for our birth moms.

There are those people, often the poor, uneducated, or young, that don't often think ahead to the consequences of their actions. An abortion is a after the fact fix, while the methods you describe require forthought.

One solution is to mandate all women to be on birthcontrol and you would have to petition the government to have children. You would have to do this to get the people who are to dumb not to have kids. This would reduce the need for welfare, reduce court cases for child support, reduce gang violance due to unwanted children being neglected by both parents. Also taxes would be lowered by not having to support the lower 1/3 of the population as that portion would decrease over time.

Another solution, equally controversial would be to have free love and then dump all the unwanted children onto the doorsteps of the pro life people. I am sure that the pro life group can handle 1.37 MILLION extra children per year just in the US alone.

The word murder is defined as "the unlawful taking of human life". Abortion is legal, therefore not murder. I agree, however, that it ought to be unnecessary in light of modern birth control methods. Once again, the churches are to blame, because of their opposition to sex education. If young people were properly informed about how to avoid unwanted pregnancy, abortion would probably only be necessary in rape cases.

Because occasionally a woman is raped or the victim of incest and finds herself in a situation she had no control over. And as soon as we start saying, "Okay, we'll only let women who were raped or the victim of incest have abortions," then we're forcing victims of rape and incest to prove it, and we live in a society that blames the woman, not the attacker.

Would you like to find yourself pregnant as the result of a date rape at some point in the future and not be able to get an abortion because you can't prove it wasn't consensual and his lawyer can convince the jury that because you were wearing a low-cut blouse you wanted it and those bruises are just because you like it rough?

Because apparently it is a woman's "right" to kill her child.

However, since women want equal rights, shouldn't men be allowed to choose the child's destiny, also? Why should the woman have more rights over their baby's life than the man?
