I have a good friend that's Mormon. I just met him about three months ago through another friend, and I haven't really talked to him outside of our circle of friends. He's a cool guy, and there seems to be a possibility of the two of us starting a relationship eventually. I was hoping someone (Preferably someone from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints) could clear up a few rumors I've heard and tell me whether these things are true.

Morman is a Christian Denomination
They believe:...
There are two circles of heaven, one for non-Morman Christians, one for Mormans
In the Bible and The Book of Morman
In Jesus Christ, God, and the Holy Spirit
It is wrong to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ
You can become like God and rule your own planet


They don't go to college, and instead go on missions
The Morman Church is a cult

Again, I'm sure all of this is not true, just looking for someone who can say what is and isn't.

i see good spirits and gaurdians but rescently my teacher was talking about how we are all going to die on the earth and not make it to the stars and i witnessed the grim reaper enter the room. then 20 minutes later a differnt teachers eyes went red and i couldnt understand her words and then she was pressing a button and it felt as if she was beating me? any help please?

...my question relates to the many people I've seen here who talk about atheists and agnostics "gambling with their souls". It reminds me of my mother who tells me that given that I can't be sure one way or another if God exists, why don't I just go to church and pray, just to be safe. In other words, people seem to have the idea that acting like I believe in God, regardless of how I feel and truly believe would save me from hell on the chance that there is a higher power. Now, even a heathen like me knows that's not how it works.

My problem is that I always did want to believe in something more. I have major problems with organized religion but that has nothing to do with my agnosticism. This is not a choice that I have made to reject God. It is the complete lack of feeling the presence of a higher power. I feel like people who believe must be happier, more hopeful but it's not something I can force. I recall praying as a child and not feeling comfort but instead feeling

Everytime I criticize the ohh so sacred christian religion people tell me that I SHOULD be repectful of other persons faith. Why is it taboo to critize somebody elses religious faith?
