Someday you may hear the right words, so no it's not wrong. But don't act as though you are a member of the body of Christ if in fact you aren't. But it's fine to be a searcher, IMO.

There are no specific requirements of belief to go to church.
If you are using the church's resources then you should probably really be invested in that church and not just go to get free stuff.

Yes, it is wrong.
Why? You can find support from other places: friends, family, within yourself. You just have to find the things that really make you happy. That includes being true to yourself and living the life you want.

I once knew someone who attended Cancer support group meetings for Cancer survivors. The problem was, this person never had Cancer. Hum.
