I have my own thoughts, just want to see what others think.
If you're not of a religion, back off I don't need any Athiest forcing their beliefes on me.

It seems like every single time I pass a church now, there's a little sign in the front with some catchy line, like, 'Heaven is no trick, Hell is no treat.' Or, 'Lost? Directions within.' You get the idea... Anyway, I'm just wondering if this is desperation, because that's how it seems. On a side note, is there really a point in trying to sort of 'recruit' more followers, when faith is something from within, not taught?

I was watching a Christian program the other day. The host was speaking about traveling in China. He was saying that he wanted to pray with a group of christians there for China. They said they wanted to pray that American materialism would not come to China and ruin the gospel. I can see their point, what do you think?

We see night and day because we are rotating, the rotation of the Earth gives the appearance that night and day are seperate.....However, outside of the Earth the Sun which is light dwells withing the darkness of space one is not seperated from the other.

For those of you who are Kemetic, Asatuar, Hellenic, or Celtic recon, how did you come to follow your particular path? Was it something you discovered through research or did your Gods come to you? How?

Also, do you practice your path in a group or solitary?

Thanks and have a blessed day! :)

You believe in the easter bunny, tooth fairy and santa! There is no proof of them either, apart from in books and people's words. So they too must exist for you?

Meaning you can not give God credit for something man himself accomplished.

Thanks

....quality miracles like sea parting, world-wide floods, pillars of salt, talking animals, people to stone, and immaculate conceptions? I don't see why the fundies want to worship such an impotent "god", one that only had power in The Big Story Book.

They're always begging for contributions and never have anything on that's less boring than watching paint dry--Anne of Green Gables? That's about as interesting as the average sunday sermon on moneylending......

Isn't it possible that the verse below explains who moroni truly is?

2 Corinthians 11:14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.

It is only technically a "theory" too.

Again, I think most Christians know that evolution is a proven fact.

When my Aunt died many states away, I awoke and had a strong feeling someone else was in the room. I then had a feeling that I had never had before, like a hug of pure love. Very warm and very different than anything else I'd ever experienced. From this time I have always believed that there truly is "something" after you die or some sort of spirit/soul. The next morning I heard that she had died around that time, but I wasn't surprised since I already knew after what had happened.

I was fully awake when this happened, it wasn't a dream, and it was so unique that I know it was real... but not entirely sure the specifics of course! I've heard stories from others about when relatives die...

Have you experienced similar extra-ordinary events/experiences when those who you were close too died? What happened? (Sorry to ask something so personal, but I wanted to know for a long time how common this was)

He was very popular, he would help anyone, why would he be taken at 46 years. He had so much to give, he was a much nicer person than me. Why didn't I die instead? He will never see his kids marry, or grandchildren. I wonder why I should live and he die?

They wave their arms like on a Roller Coaster, or at a rock concert. I really can't tell the three gestures apart. Just wondering what that is all about.
