Because the religion leads them to believe that; there are plenty of self-contradictions in the religion, but one claim is that all you have to do is believe. Thus Adolf Hitler, Jeffrey Dahmer, and a host of believers will be in heaven, and millions of good people who didn't know about or fall for the story will be punished eternally.

It's a tough race, but Xianity is certainly in the running for "World's Stupidest Religion."

Many people who claim to be saved are not really saved at all. It's more than just saying I believe so now i'm saved. There is a HUGE difference between a knowledge of God and actually Knowing him as saviour. A person who has truely accepted Christ as saviour will not want to do those things. however there is still a battle between body and spirit even after salvation, and sometimes even the most devout Christian succombs to thier sinful human nature and terrible things can happen. If a person has truely accepted Christ as saviour, and then goes out and does something terrible, no matter what it is they are still saved because Jesus died to cover those sins, and every other sin they commit. We in our own understanding view sins differently, we see telling a lie as being different than say murder or adultery. We gauge them due to pur own understanding, God however see's them as the same, all sins are equal in His eyes. Which by the way eliminates us being able to say well I'm not as bad as that guy who did this or that. The truth is we are ALL sinners in need of a saviour.

A christian who kills and rapes will not be saved. Remember Jeffrey Dalmer? He swore up and down that he found God and repented of his actions. (Yeah right). If a christian explains to you how you can get saved instead acting like a child (HA HA, I'm saved and you're not) Then maybe that person will be worth listening to. But they're so scared of being caught with someone who doesn't have salvation. PLEASE! That's why so many people don't like christians cause they're so judgmental.

Well, the Bible does say if you follow through w/ the plan of salvation(see Acts 2:38-9) you will be saved, no doubt about it. But you must also then endure to the end. But as far as a criminal getting saved. God can save anyone willing to be saved. Once, you hear, believe, repent, confess,be baptized in Jesus name(specifically), and get the Holy Ghost. You ARE saved. The Bible says your sins are washed away. They are gone! As far from you as the east is from the west. God is awesome!!!!

According to Evangelical Christian theology, people are not responsible for their actions. Whatever you do, you are sinful. Even though you are sinful, God forgives you if you accept Jesus as your personal savior. And if you've done that, then nothing you do before or afterward matters. It's a convenient way of avoiding personal responsibility by putting it all on Jesus. In fact, Evangelicals tend to regard other Christians who don't agree with this notiion as "not real Christians".

What a ridiculous question!

Not really, but to say it properly, they are disillusioned. Some think they are "saved", but they are truly going straight down, or whatever happens after death. Just because you are a Christian and rape and murder doesn't mean you are getting into heaven though, whoever thinks that just by the simple act of being a Christian promises you into a better afterlife is naive and foolish.

because it seems, those individuals are sat down by utilising a Saint and instructed all approximately Jesus upon their loss of existence. Then they get to settle on. If it quite is authentic, I desire each and all the non secular individuals could close their mouths. If I had the prospect to income approximately God and Jesus IN heaven, i could for sure settle for them as who they are asserting they are and connect the harp gamers. a techniques less complicated to assert specific to heaven once you're instructed approximately it exterior the gates....

Maybe I give them too much credit but I think most Christians think there are many roads to God.

I am so trying to separate the ignorant fundies from the intelligent Christians.

Perhaps you should have said some Christians. I do not believe that. I think that Christian or not...only God can decide if you are 'saved' or not. I can't say with 100% certainty I will go to Heaven.

Do all people who go to church - are they automatically saved, no. Plain and simple. You can find the most evil people in church. As for the rapist and murderers they will be saved if they ask for forgiveness. So you don't find God in church and get saved
