Don't some of us excercize self-control AND have within us desires of simplicity? Wouldn't THAT be the most sensible and fair passage way into heaven?

My husband said that since woman was formed from man's rib and man has 24 ribs, 24 wives is maximum. However, I know some people that believe 4 is maximum but I don't know where they get that number from but its all very interesting to me. I'm hoping my husband won't have more than 4 because it would get lonely I think for me :( What do you think? Please tell me how you get your number too! Thanks!!

Paul in 1 Cor. 8, tells the Church not to be a "stumbling block" to your "weaker" brothers.

What is he is saying don't do something that you know to be ok in front of a brother who's conscience would be violated by doing the same thing. What are some modern examples of this?

I support God. The one God. Polythesim and atheism are two not-so-funny jokes. In my heart, I desire the end of oppression against all peoples. We need less government in our world. We need personal responsibility.

I am disgusted by those who say that their sins have already been forgiven! I stand for good among all people. I stand for (very) modest lifestyles. I am a very conservative man. Why is that Christians would decide I am hellbound? Could it be that their drunk from the wine that the Romans have pourn down their throat?

PS, I have no affiliation with any church.

A young Jehovah's Witness has died just hours after giving birth to twins. She had signed a form refusing blood transfusions, and her family would not overrule her. Couldn't doctors have intervened?

In the last year, I've become more involved with the people at church (bible studies, functions) only to realize that many of these people are hypocrites. I am not perfect either, just as bad as these people.

One thing I used to like abt church was that it was between me and Jesus, not other people. Getting to know the church people has been a downer for me.

What do you think abt me NOT going to church but studying the bible by myself instead? Would that be bad?

For tithing, I could tithe to the local mission for poor & homeless people.

What do you think?
