Yes, but to be fair, there are also some pretty condescending atheists. We seem to be at opposite ends of a "believing" scale, judging from the way the targeting goes. But this involves lumping all Christians together, when they are really quite different one from another. And it also involves lumping atheists together, when we are also quite different one from another.
Let's all try for good manners, shall we?

Oh, we both beat the hell out of each other. As others have said, it's not all the Christians anymore than it's all the Atheists. Even among the worst offenders, there are times when you'll catch one in a genuine mood of curriousity for another's viewpoint. A lot of the times, the questions are simply rants or soapbox preaching... but again, both sides do it. Debate isn't always pretty, I'm afraid.

There may be a few who are. But I find some atheists that are not only condescending, but down right rude. You will find that all sides of religion, even the non religious will have some on here that do that. Not just a few Christians.

Condescending? No, they are confused about their beliefs and ask the most ridiculous questions. I am truly happy not to have the mental confusion and fears they own.
Considering the fact they believe in some supernatural being it is hardly condescending, at least to me. I just appreciate the place I am at now. They assure me that my understanding is completely true.. I thank them for reinforcing my beliefs.

No. Just convinced and misguided. I think we atheists can often be condescending though. It's difficult to be kind and tolerant without appearing to be - whichever side you're on..

Not really. I find myself feeling a bit bad for being condescending toward them at times though.
I remind myself that many of them are very young.

In my opinion it is hard for someone not to sound condescending when you accept something as an absolute truth. To bad for them that it's not. For me, it's evolved from condescending to ignorant.

Not really condescending. Ignorant? Yes. Condescending...it is the nature of the religion...to push their religion upon people and badger them about it either until they convert or run away with their fingers in their ears.

Occasionally. But it's okay. The popular kids at school were much worse, but I was always the one they came to for homework help. Frankly, it felt better to help them out -- just a little -- than to gloat and withhold the help.
All in all, I think I came out slightly ahead. But of course that's just my opinion.

Some, not all. Some are just plain mean. Some are very funny without meaning to be. Some are entertaining.
