My husband said that since woman was formed from man's rib and man has 24 ribs, 24 wives is maximum. However, I know some people that believe 4 is maximum but I don't know where they get that number from but its all very interesting to me. I'm hoping my husband won't have more than 4 because it would get lonely I think for me :( What do you think? Please tell me how you get your number too! Thanks!!

That Little Angel is a question that has plaqued mankind for centuries. People answering before me didn't answer your question. They answered with how many was acceptable given todays society.

I am not a big believer in plural marriage. I do not believe it is right or wrong. I do believe we should not make laws prohibiting it. If a man wants to have more than one wife he should be able to do that.

A member of the traditional LDS church, which outlawed plural marriage some time ago, said that if he were a man that had a wife and two girfriends no one would think anything of it. But because he has 3 wives, he is a criminal.

Someone before me said it was God's plan. One man and one women. If that is true then why are there more women on the planet than men?

To answer your question, the most wives a man should have I think is 4.

If your husband plans on having more, he needs to get a bigger house. 24 wives? He'll need to be able to support them all. Let us hope he is rich beyond belief (just like your questions).

It is written, no man can serve two masters... ;-)

It was intended to be one man and one woman. Mankind always finds a way to mess up what God ordains.
