When my Aunt died many states away, I awoke and had a strong feeling someone else was in the room. I then had a feeling that I had never had before, like a hug of pure love. Very warm and very different than anything else I'd ever experienced. From this time I have always believed that there truly is "something" after you die or some sort of spirit/soul. The next morning I heard that she had died around that time, but I wasn't surprised since I already knew after what had happened.

I was fully awake when this happened, it wasn't a dream, and it was so unique that I know it was real... but not entirely sure the specifics of course! I've heard stories from others about when relatives die...

Have you experienced similar extra-ordinary events/experiences when those who you were close too died? What happened? (Sorry to ask something so personal, but I wanted to know for a long time how common this was)

I was leaving for work at 4:00 A.M. one morning as I have for 30 years when I felt someone behind me as I closed the bedroom door and stood in a pitch black hallway.I felt that person move through me as I struggled to find the light switch. Then a toy telephone in my kids play room/spare bedroom said electronically"Bye-Bye!"
The only way to do that was to press the pound key and star key simultaniously.I had such an electric charge go up my back!I thought it was my father who had died a few years before. Then about a month later I found out my aunt had died in New Mexico(I'm in Calif.) and I was never informed. She died very close to that time.It may have been her.Who ever it was ,it was definately someone,I never before or since had an experience like that!

Yes.

When my best friend died in a house fire when I was 12, I saw it as it was happening in a dream, then woke up at the exact minute she was pronounced dead.

When I was 22, I had two of my cousins die, and almost my sister, in a car crash. They died around 3:30 am but at a quarter after 1 am, I had friends over and... it was very strange... we suddenly heard what sounded like a poker chip fall in the kitchen. But nothing did. We didn't own poker chips, and we looked everywhere for what might have made that sound because it was so strange.

Finally, at one point, I looked at her and said "Did you feel that? The wheel just turned". I don't know why I said it but I know what I meant. I meant that the wheel of time had turned, the wheel of destiny. I meant that something really bad had just happened and it felt like the world was holding its breath for the announcement.

It wasn't the world and we found out later that morning (around 5 am) that the accident had happened.

As well, a woman had been kidnapped from a store near where I grew up. I was at work at a public library at that time. I was putting away a book and suddenly had a flash of a woman holding her arms up to defend herself from blows and it was the middle of the night. Meaning, I saw what happened after it happened. When I came out of the vision, my arm was sore because I'd been holding the heavy book up in the air for so long. I found out that what I saw was true later that day on the news. The woman was the owner of the store and I knew her when I was growing up. She'd been kidnapped by a boy I grew up with, raped, murdered, then her body dumped in a field.

So yes... its happened to me. Though not for years.

I can't control it and I hope I never have another one. If I do, it always means someone I know has died.

I don't know why this stuff happens to me, it just does. I don't think any god is the reason though. I think its that I'm somehow more in tune with my surroundings than most of the population on the planet.

I do have to say that I haven't had an experience such as those, or any other supernatural experience, in years. Not since my car accident. I'm starting to wonder if my accident has blinded me to think that I used to be able to see.

Yes, I have.

When one of my best friends was killed in a car accident (when we were both eighteen), he came and visited me at my apartment a couple weeks after he died. He woke me up when he came in. The skeptic in me WOULD think that maybe I dreamed the whole thing, if I hadn't smoked a cigarette after he left. The next morning when I got up, there were three cigarettes in the ashtray: One was the one I smoked before I went to sleep, the second was the one I smoked when my friend woke me up, and the third was of a different brand. The latter just HAPPENS to be the brand my friend smoked. I didn't use that ashtray the rest of the day, until I had a few friends over and I told them what had happened, and showed them the cigarette butts.

There are others, but I figure one's enough.

I had something very similar happen to me the night my Grandpa died. He came into my bedroom and looked down into my baby boys cradle, he said "I came to see little Gene." I had named my son after him. The only great grand child named after him. We were many States away and I got the telegram that he had passed away the next morning.

the single and easily quite unusual prevalence in my existence became at my father's funeral. After he became buried, all of us lower back to the motor vehicle park. because of the fact the door of one of the funeral motor vehicle's door became opened for my mom, a black canines ran from nowhere, previous her and into the motor vehicle. whether scared, mum did no longer say something. It rode residing house along with her and on arrival at our residing house, the canines jumped out and bumped into the residing house - right this moment to my previous due father's armchair. The canines made it his own. Mum (who became particularly superstitious) did no longer look to strategies the hot 'customer'. He lived with my mom for the subsequent ten years. thinking that a loss of existence and funeral is an extremely distressing time, and no count number how irrational it became, I secretly believed that my father had lower back. It took some years to rid myself of the perception, a perception I never shared till right this moment......... i will vow that that's a real tale.
