As a Soto Zen Buddhist, I don't particularly subscribe to a god. Our faith comes from a tangible system that one can not punch holes in, as some other religions. The belief in a god is strictly faith. Even some great philosophers, who believe in the christian God, who pride themselves on reason, admit that "faith is a leap beyond rationality in a move that acknowledges an utter dependence of a power greater than themselves." Soren Kirkgerrard.
The Easter bunny, santa, etc provide no form of divinity that brings people hope of something greater than what it is, mostly everlasting life in a heaven. Moreover, anyone who has any rationality will admit that religion is mostly an accident of birth. Had some American christians, for example, been born in Iran, they would most likely subscribe to Islam, so who is right? The main thing we must look past is that almost all religions--if followed by liturgy--will create the same affect of peace. It is this that we should recognize, instead of the things that seem irrational to us.

You also must not believe in being original. This question gets asked constantly.
No, I do not believe in the Easter Bunny, the Tooth Fairy or Santa. So your statement is false.

the difference is that the easter bunny, tooth fairy, and santa clause are really just a fun thing for children. Adults keep those stories alive because children believe, and thats a beautiful thing. God, on the other hand, is someone that children and adults alike believe in. And if you dont believe, but they do, who cares??? does it offend you, that I choose to believe in a higher being??? Because, it does not effect me at all that you dont.

Oh geee, and you breath air too. Can you see this air??? Yet you know it is there? Feel the wind??? Where does it originate??? How do you find it's beginning??? All these things exist too, yet you can't see them... By the way, NO EASTER BUNNY OR SANTA CALLED THE EARTH INTO EXISTENCE either because they don't exist. Walk into a place without air, and you WILL know it (and not because it looks different in there).

Incorrect. One can point to a time in which no one believed in the Easter bunny, the tooth fairy, and Santa. But NO ONE can point to a time in which humans didn't believe in a God, gods and/or goddesses.
One can even point to where the stories of the Easter bunny, the tooth fairy, and Santa originated. But where did the stories for God originate?

It is all abot the faith in God. If you belive in god you will be accepted in to his kingdom (heaven) where their is no suffering. For christian we do not belive in the easter bunny or anyother characters, but we belive in the day of the easter. Easter is the day when Jesus resulacted from the dead. We belive because it is the truth and personally most of my prayers came ture soon or later. If your prayers don;t come true just wait and have patience. You have to work for your prayers and have to make them reasonable.

Does it matter? Why so hateful? If you want to be an atheist or whatever you are, that's fine, but I don't see why you have to be starting fights. You can say you're not the only one and you'd be truthful, but that doesn't make you any better than them. This so called question is extremely immature on your part. News flash, there are more religions out there to bash. I know Christians in particular love to convert, but take the mature road and just let it roll off your back.

Do you believe in mother nature? The Big Bang Theory? Evolution? There's no proof for these things, either.
Besides, the Easter Bunny and Tooth Fairy have nothing to do with Christianity - and even Santa is barely a blip on the screen (St. Nicholas really has nothing to do with Christmas as we know it - the jolly fat guy in the red outfit with fur trim is a creation of the Coca-Cola company.)

My initial reaction is: "have you no better use of your intellect than this?" but that reaction is out of confusion and sorrow for your soul.
My final reaction is: all the other apparations you have mentioned were fabricated by man and admitted as fabrications from their onset. None has illuminated my soul with the Light of God. None of them has humbled my pride like the Power of God. None of them has equipped me with the shield and sword of the Charity of Jesus Christ. None of them has inspired the writings of the apostles and saints in defense of themselves (the apparitions). None of them is Perfection beyond anything you, your friends, my friends, my family, or I can see or imagine in this life.
None of them makes me pray as I do every night for the Wisdom necessary to help you see the same.
