Acts 24:15 "and I have hope toward God, which hope these [men] themselves also entertain, that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous"
John 5:28-29 "Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice 29 and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life"
There is a wonderful future! The Bible shows that God's purpose of a paradise earth for all mankind, including those now dead, will never fail. Says Jehovah: "The heavens are my throne, and the earth is my footstool." "I shall glorify the very place of my feet." (Isaiah 66:1; 60:13) Out of the abundance of his love, Jehovah sent his Son, the Word, to this earth, that the world of mankind might gain life through him. (John 3:16; 1 John 4:9) There are three important things that we must now discuss and that Jehovah accomplishes through his Son, namely, (1) providing a release from the power of death; (2) actually restoring the dead to life; and (3) establishing a perfect government over all mankind.

At Romans 5:12, the apostle Paul explains very simply that our forefather Adam rebelled against his Creator and was justly sentenced to death. Since we are his descendants, we are sinners and subject to death at any time. We have no guarantee of continuing life. Wise King Solomon of old makes it clear that time and unforeseen occurrence can befall anyone at any time, be it a fatal accident or a sudden terminal illness. Or one can be born with a congenital defect that shortens his life. Solomon also explains that with God there is a time and a season for everything. God has set a time to heal, not just one or a few, but all believing mankind during the reign of Christ Jesus.—Ecclesiastes 3:1; 9:11; 1 Corinthians 15:25, 26.
Keep in mind this sobering thought: Christians are not exempt from the calamities afflicting the human race and are thus subject to experiences that are common to mankind. “The trials that you have had to bear are no more than people normally have.”—1 Corinthians 10:13, The Jerusalem Bible.
What, though, about unexplained deaths and illnesses? The Bible gives this blunt description of the human condition: “In Adam all are dying.” (1 Corinthians 15:22) Death has afflicted mankind since our forefather Adam trod the path of disobedience. Just as God had warned, Adam left his offspring a legacy of death. (Genesis 2:17; Romans 5:12) Ultimately, then, all illnesses can be traced to our common ancestor Adam. Our inherited weaknesses also have much to do with the disappointments and failures we experience in life.—Psalm 51:5.
Consider the problem of poverty. Belief in fate has often encouraged sufferers to resign themselves to their difficult existence. ‘This is our destiny,’ they believe. The Bible shows, however, that human imperfection, not fate, is to blame. Some become poor when they ‘reap what they have sown’ through laziness or mismanagement of resources. (Galatians 6:7; Proverbs 6:10, 11) Countless millions live in poverty because they are victimized by greedy men in power. (Compare James 2:6.) “Man has dominated man to his injury,” says the Bible. (Ecclesiastes 8:9) No evidence exists for attributing all poverty to God or to fate.

I'm sorry for your loss. Just think he might be in a better place. Write a letter about your brother. That really helps, well I guess you just did.
This has made sense to me when I'm grieving I hope this helps you also.
1 Peter 1:7
"Trials have come so that your faith...may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed."
1 Peter 5:7
"Cast all your anxiety on Him (God) because He cares for you."
Please remember that in God's eyes you are loved also. God Bless!

With your pic (and mine too no doubt) it's hard to take anyone seriously on this website.
My brother died young also.
Things will get better, but you'll never forget him.
Definitely though, I think it was the bonnet that sent him over the edge.
If your question is legit, I'm sorry for the humor.
ROFL- LMAO !
great pic.

Because if I go with a more Religious answer I'd say he was ready to enter God's Heaven, those who are still on Earth still need more time to change for the better, for themselves.
But if I don't use the Religious Reasons, I'd say it is unfair, but harshly said 'life is unfair'.
I am sorry for your loss & your thoughts on the matter, 'that it should have been you instead'.
I would be devastated....

That is the reason when I get to heaven,I'm going to pop Adam right in his cake hole!Because he sinned(and Eve) they opened the world up to death ,disease and destruction, which will only be put right at the return of Jesus. Now we live in a "**** Happens " world and it sucks big time because as millions of others we have lost love ones way too soon through disease or sinful man.Just know that eternity is forever and the pain we have for 70 or 80 years here is nothing to the bliss of endless time.

My brother too die young - it's a tough one, but sometimes children are taken - it is life, no guarantees ever! Babies and children don't even have time to make their mark. Let's hope they have gone to a better place, but don't let's insult their memory by living unfulfilled lives - go out there and shine!
