Science is composed of nothing but theories. But unfortunately most people have no clue what a scientific theory means.

Well, that's the great thing about science. The theory of gravity is almost three thousand years old, but it keeps evolving and changing as we learn more about the nature of the universe.
Religion, on the other hand, demands that we accept a three-thousand year old guide to morality as though it still applied to today's society. Some of the lessons are still valid, but for the most part, it is junk.

I would assume they accept gravity since it is needed in quite a bit of logicality and physics, but its still a theory. And evolution is STILL only a theory itself, as it cannot be proven, only by many years of experimental data can it be shown to be true. (unless there is some amazing discovery I have not heard about?)

Gravity is observable and can be tested repeatedly...evolution or common descent from historical animals or plants millions of supposed years ago cannot. Evolution is far from being a fact other than being accepted as such by science...many scientists dispute that it is.

for my area, it is because of the fact: a million) Gravity and electromagnetism do no longer contradict their perception in a writer God. 2) they are uncomfortable with the assumption of being on the subject count number of the different animals on the planet, who prefer to have self assurance that they are specifically created "in God's image".

Evolution is not a proven fact, even most people who believe in evolution realize that!

Good question. Considering creationism has yet to be proven then that would make that a theory to wouldnt it. Woner if any of the god squad will fess up to this.

The definition of the word "evolution" is so vague that it cannot be considered a "fact" except in the mind of a person who knows nothing about science.
Gravity is a theory that describes the force that holds people in contact with the Earth. Gravity is not a fact, gravity is a theory. Gravity is a theory with such a high probability of accuracy it is often referred to as a "law".
What is commonly called the "Theory of Evolution" is exactly that, a theory.
People without any understanding of science will commonly shorten the term "Theory of Evolution" to the single word "evolution".
Among people with an education this is commonly called ignorance and sometimes called stupidity.
PS: If you want to give someone a best answer based on a simple and factual answer Belzebot gave a great answer.
