Greetings,
After a Human soul becomes loving again and allows that Spirit of love to radiate beyond our Galaxy, the soul starts to learn how to be a planet. This is not the final point of evolution, but it is the next step of it. The truth about evolution, is that there is no finality nor is there anything finite about the soul. It is non-material, yet it does have a certain weight to it. The possibilities and lesson plans are forever.

the spiritual life of a believer is like continuous motion, and in any motion there has to be a starting and end point, and a force that moves it. The Catholic Church beleives that a search for God is intrinsically built into every person, whether conscious or not - the end point is a perfect union with God. And as long as the person is alive, this "evolution of the spirit" can never end, because one can always be a little bit closer to God.
It is driven by a self-perpetuating cycle of meeting God - receiving authentic joy - searching more for God - receiving more joy - more searching - greater joy... etc.

If there is a final point, it would include outgrowing superstitious concepts like "spiritual evolution" and belief in spirits.
