D&C 122: 7 And if thou shouldst be cast into the pit, or into the hands of murderers, and the sentence of death passed upon thee; if thou be cast into the deep; if the billowing surge conspire against thee; if fierce winds become thine enemy; if the heavens gather blackness, and all the elements combine to hedge up the way; and above all, if the very jaws of hell shall gape open the mouth wide after thee, know thou, my son, that all these things shall give thee experience, and shall be for thy good.
8 The Son of Man hath descended below them all. Art thou greater than he?

These have a lot of meaning to me and relate to a very personal trial I had to overcome.

And I know they are not in the bible, so if you can handle that and still give an answer, please do.

I watched the Jesus Camp and was shocked at how the kids were pressured to get in the mood of falling on the ground, crying, holding hands up. Their eyes were red, tears burned their chicks, the leaders kept yelling something... I'm sorry but none of that represented of what Jesus is to me personally. When I was a kid I was at a Christian camp where we played games, sang fun songs, learned interesting things, but overall simply had fun. All throughout the camp time I felt the presence of the Lord all the time. I dont' think one has to roll around on the floor, or scream at the sky until their voice goes off to get something out of God.

Or is it the people that follow the religion?
I believe that religion can only lead to war when it is interpreted in the wrong way. Therefore, religion is not the main cause of war, it is actually the 'wrong' followers and believers.
What do you think?

I was taking a dump earlier and I noticed that I didn't have any toilet paper. Not only that, but there wasn't any anywhere in my apartment. The only source of paper I could find was a Bible. Do you think God will understand?

I believe in God, and I bet he or she has a great sense of humor. God is not going to send anyone to hell for making a joke. God is either a God of Love or a God of Vengeance. You can't have it both ways people.

If I were to suggest that between the Earth and Mars there is a china teapot revolving about the sun in an elliptical orbit, nobody would be able to disprove my assertion provided I were careful to add that the teapot is too small to be revealed even by our most powerful telescopes. But if I were to go on to say that, since my assertion cannot be disproved, it is an intolerable presumption on the part of human reason to doubt it, I should rightly be thought to be talking nonsense. If, however, the existence of such a teapot were affirmed in ancient books, taught as the sacred truth every Sunday, and instilled into the minds of children at school, hesitation to believe in its existence would become a mark of eccentricity and entitle the doubter to the attentions of the psychiatrist in an enlightened age or of the Inquisitor in an earlier time.
