are we not saved by grace? i thought baptism was an outward sign of what God is doing through the Spirit in my life, not that it actually makes me more approved in God's sight. Please help...

You see religious groups invading other people's privacy and daily life, protesting at other people's work place, homes, etc.

Why don't the atheists do the same against religious groups? Why not protest at churches, temples, religious-related work places, and their homes?

clearly these religious groups don't give much consideration and care towards those they target. so why not defeat them at their own game?

same with other groups too like peta.

atheists who spoke the treatises of reason, who used logic against medieval mythology, who tested and spoke their minds in good will, only to get deleted again and again. We will not kneel before the nonsensical and give up our right to THINK. We will not anthropomorphise the universe, nor bow to anything we cannot see. We like life and embrace it, we see things for what they are. How many a benign journey must be cut short by a deletion?

Mal 3:1 Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me: and the Lord, whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to his temple, even the messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in: behold, he shall come, saith the LORD of hosts.

Mal 3:2 But who may abide the day of his coming? and who shall stand when he appeareth? for he is like a refiner's fire, and like fullers' soap:

Mal 3:3 And he shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver: and he shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the LORD an offering in righteousness.

I have done research on fuller's soap and have found that it is a reference to laundry soap of the time....back in ancient times when this prophecy was written, people would wash clothes on stones in the river....
Is this your understanding?

I would really like to get married in the church in the village I grew up in. However, I am a christened but non-practicing Protestant and my partner follows no religion, and the church is Catholic. Do we have no hope?

Rain is needed to put out the California wildfires, and to replenish the Southeastern US, which has been devastated by drought. Please pray for a gentle soaking 3 day rain to put out those fires now, before anyone else dies.

So Im just chilling with some people around a table at school, when this dude I barely know (I met a couple times through a friend) come up to me and says something (from what I remember sounded like..."Hey, can you give me your soul-I mean a picture?" I said, of course, "no way dude". Then he said he just wanted to give him a picture. Then being the nice guy that I am, decided "sure why the heck not?" So he takes the pic, then he says he needed me to sign a sheet of paper saying a couple things about what I do around the school. I sign it, we chatted for a bit, he went off. Within the following weeks, I would see him around and he woul say **** like ,"I still have your soul", and I would laugh it off say no ya dont, and within the next couple months, I though about it off and on, then entirely forgot about it.

Then just before the summer, I started thinking about it again. Now, months later, I still am thinking about it day and night.

If yes, would you support the death penalty (or life sentence) for every person involved?

Why or why not?

Why do you trust Paul to tell you what Jesus meant? What if he was wrong?

How would you know? He never meant Jesus, just told you what in his opinion Jesus meant. And now his opinion of what Jesus meant is the basis of Christianity. His opinion is a large part of the New Testament. Why care what he says so much? He wasn't God, or the son of God.

Couldn't taking his word as truth be considered idolatry? Why just accept that he was right? All we have are his own claims of divine inspiration to go on, and what is that worth really?

My main objections to saying that Jesus was fully God while on Earth is the following:

If Jesus was fully God, who did he pray to?
If Jesus was fully God, does that God has a body?
If Jesus was fully God, does that mean God can be tempted to sin?

Ok, just some thoughts, I am interested in your response. This is something I have been thinking about.

Not that everyone does this but:

R&S Rule #1 -
Don't read the question in order to make sure you understand what it is asking. Instead, assume you know and make a big stink about it.

My husband came home today with the girls, see question I asked last night
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AnAiRClCBhOBAXy3trCk8gzsy6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20071022041905AA7f7IV

He was stuck at the Airport with flight delays and he asked his brother to ring me and let me know that he was going to be late and also the Army Officer, it was his brother that rang me, and made out he was my hubby, my hubby said he will never take the girls agin to see his family again

All they did was run me down because I am a Catholic and he has started the RCIA, they were upset with this

Why do they hate me, is it because I am a Catholic, they are Baptist, why do they want to hurt my girls and me?

Jesus gave a commandment:

Mat 6:7 And when you pray, do not use vain repetitions as the heathen do. For they think that they will be heard for their many words.

One may look at this and think that means asking for the same thing over and over again, but he also gives another example:

Luk 18:1 Then He spoke a parable to them, that men always ought to pray and not lose heart,
Luk 18:2 saying: "There was in a certain city a judge who did not fear God nor regard man.
Luk 18:3 Now there was a widow in that city; and she came to him, saying, "Get justice for me from my adversary.'
Luk 18:4 And he would not for a while; but afterward he said within himself, "Though I do not fear God nor regard man,
Luk 18:5 yet because this widow troubles me I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me."'
Luk 18:6 Then the Lord said, "Hear what the unjust judge said.
Luk 18:7 And shall God not avenge His own elect who cry out day and night to Him, though He bears long with them?
