My question is more about the not so obvious. For example; I know he was expelled from the garden, he lost his afternoon walks with God, and that he from that moment forward would die and possibly from that moment he was dead spiritually to God. What I am wondering is what was removed from Adam and Eve so that death was possible. Nothing is said about any specific event other than God's pronouncement. If nothing physically changed in either of them what power does the separation from God have except for the power we grant it mentally?

Bear in mind that it is to the same body that everlasting life is granted to by the Holy Spirit and Christ without any transformation other than spiritual.

So, what then really separates us from God?

I am a reformed skeptic (if that's possible) from all the mis-truths I've learned about gifting. It's a pyramid, it's not legal, only one person gets paid etc.etc,etc. Why is it o.k. for you to tithe to a church but not to a person? I'm asking this question to really get serious answers. I recently was a member at a local church and every week they talked about the importance of giving. When another member asked a clergy for help with their mortgage the clergy responded with "there is nothing the church can do financially but we will pray about it" I'm spiritual but WHATTTTT!!!!! Here you have a member who's probably tithed for all her life and now she's about to loose her home and there is no help from the one resource we all give credit to for a place for help?

okay, let me start by saying that I respect everyone's right to choose their own religion (except Satanism, I don't agree with that). I personally am a Christian and Im very devoted to my religion.

today at school in one of my classes, a teacher was making a refrence to a book he was reading (which was the bible). when he held it up he covered the word "bible" on it with his hand and said "Im not supposed to show you this." he said it was wrong he even brought it to school.

my question is...why is the school system and everyone else so worried about offending non-Christians that they actually offend Christians in the process?

I know other people are offended by this as well...its not just me.

so why IS the school system and everyone so worried about offending people not in the Christian religion?

no one knows if heaven and hell exits. and, if these places do exist, no one knows how to get there. in the bottom of our hearts, i think we all know that no human can know these things.

so, wouldn't it make sense that the only people that would go to hell would be the ones egotistical or presumptuous to claim to know the unknowable? and some of the most guilty of these individuals actually try to manipulate others to believe them!

wow. i think agnostics will go to heaven (if there is such a place) and the most presumptuous and egotistical of us (evangelicals?) will go to heaven? can anyone think of a group of people more presumptuous than an evangelical? i mean, its one thing to believe in nonsense....but to actually try to make someone else believe your nonsense? i can think of nothing worse than convincing someone else of a lie you know you have zero evidence to support.

any of you evangelicals worry you're going to hell?

Many churches teach this, but the Bible says that no man can “accept” Christ because all men are spiritually dead:
We read in Ephesians 2:1 And you hath He quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins.

The problem is that the Bible declares that man is spiritually dead in sin and totally incapable of mustering up faith in himself to salvation:
And there is none that calleth upon Thy Name, that stirreth up himself to take hold of Thee:… (Isaiah 64:7)
There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. (Romans 3:11)
No man can come to Me, except the Father which hath sent Me draw him:… (John 6:44)

how many of u slam ur door at them?? iam not a religious person but theirs a little old lady that comes along my road as a Jehovah's Witness (she used to come along with a friend...i think the worst has happened because i do not see that lady with her any more) and i make a point that im not interested in joining, but ill still stand their for a good 20 mins chatting with her(sometimes invite her in for tea), even though because of my sexuality iam against religion i still stand and listen and have a nice chat with anyone, but why do so many slam the door on these old ladys??

Just because they have different views?? but why shouldnt u make a healthy debate about it with them?? be friendly?? why slam the door?? i make them a cup of tea and chat away with them......am i wrong doing that?? we have debates, but unlike the christians i meet she doesnt tell me im a sinner she totally avoids calling me that, which makes me more trusting

God has placed the basic knowledge of His existence and power within man as man views this world.
Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath showed it unto them. For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse. (Romans 1:19-20)

Hell is being under God’s anger for our sin, and eternally, will be more horrible than one can imagine. Hell will be:
1. A place of eternal torment:
And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night… (Revelation 14:11)
2. A place of darkness:
A land of darkness, as darkness itself; and of the shadow of death, without any order, and where the light is as darkness. (Job 10:22)
Then said the King to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness… (Matthew 22:13)
3. A place of fire:
For a fire is kindled in mine anger, and shall burn unto the lowest Hell… (Deuteronomy 32:22)
And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. (Revelation 20:15)
