No. Nature simply works that way all by herself, no "god" required. To some extent, the severity of some disasters (hurricanes, e.g.) is exacerbated by the man-made global warming, but there is not much man can do about earthquakes/tsunamis. Geologists and biologists have noted that the earth has gone through about 10,000 years of particularly benign climate and that this cycle seems to be coming to an end. Totally natural phenomenon. Blessings on your Journey!

I'll be honest first of all that I don't believe in God like you do.

However, if your God does exist, I'll bet he is telling you the same thing that I think.

He is showing you the smallness of humans compared to the greatness of his planet. I do not believe that God separated out man as the chosen creature to reign supreme on the planet. We are just another organism, just like the rest. He would want you to recognize the effects we have on this planet. The war we have cannot be stopped by God. It is under our control. The fires are a natural occurrence. There have been disasters throughout history and you can look at them as God's way of keeping humans from getting too cocky. When humans think they own the planet, they destroy it, just like in Iraq.

What God would want everyone to acknowledge is that we have a responsibility to maintain the beauty on this planet. I'd say that was God's purpose for us, to maintain his garden. To be smart and help, not to destroy. Fighting with ourselves for the control of land and resources is just nonsense and it will only end up hurting everything. If we destroy ourselves in a war, it is just deserved. If we cannot allow an area of the world to burn and supply places to live for the people affected, that is deserved in a way as well. What happened to a sense of community on this planet? These fires should be bringing humans together. One mind, one love. This planet is ours to protect, not to control.

Hope this helps.

No. People are f*cked up. They will have wars. As much as we'd like, there will never be world peace.
Nature is harsh! There have always been natural disasters and always will be! It may seem like it is happening more often, because there are more people in the world....ie. instead of 100 people living in (for arguments sake) a Tsunami prone region......there are 1000. More people will die unfortunately. The other reason is because of technology. We can instantly communicate with the rest of the world about disasters. It has nothing to do with "God".

PS. Can you people PLEASE start thinking...using logic!! instead of just saying...."it must be god" for every freaking thing that happens!!
Example: "Wow, dinosaurs must have been really bad creatures, cause "God" killed them with an asteroid."

I think that God is always trying to get our attention no matter what the situation may be. Isn't it ironic that whenever something drastic happens, more people turn to prayer and find belief in some supreme being of some sort? Sometimes if that is what it takes, that is what must happen and the people who don't want to look for the end are afraid of what the end may be!

Probably the biggest danger in your question is listening to other people's opinions. There will be as many as there are people. The best you can do is to ignore others advice and decide what is best for you.
There is not cost in believing what you will, and you may just learn new things as you decide on the value of various systems on your own.

After all there is no one alive that can say for certain, what the status of the here after may consists of. As far as the world knows, there is is no documented death and Resurrection except it be that of Christ, and there are those whom do not accept that.

God is in control of everything because He made everything and Yes He uses somethings to give us signs, messages, and warnings. He is an almighty God who loves us and warns us about things. He destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah as a warning and a message to them and the ones around them that they were doing wrong in His eyes. He doesn't send the natural disasters, but He sometimes lets them happen, sometimes as a punishment for sin.

no.

let me ask you something though...if God is doing this, and then when other human beings rescue other human beings from these disasters and then people say "thank you God for saving them"

what is God doing then? is he playing? if it was only God only caused the disaster but it was humans so saved the day, then is God testing our ability to save people?

the answer is God doesnt do anything.

The reason why you see war and disasters going on is because satan is getting scared. He knows that GOd is coming, so he is doing all he can to get people to turn against God. That's Satan causing all the war and diasters.
